2 Corinthians 5:16-17

If we are in Christ, we are a new creation. The old creation is gone and the new one has arrived on the scene. There is a miracle that happens in each person’s life who becomes Christian because we are transformed into something brand new. We are now born into a lifelong relationship with God and our Savior Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 4:7

Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before:

“Today, if you hear his voice,

Do not harden your hearts.”

Proverbs 18:8

Gossip is like choice morsels and goes down the man’s inmost parts. Lies spread quickly and gossip and lies travel fast. When gossip is spread it gets further and further from the truth than when it was first told. Gossip hurts the person that is being lied about.

Ephesians 4:21-25

As a Christian, we should always tell the truth. We should be careful of the words that we speak. We will be held accountable for what we say and do in this world. When we lie, we are entering the domain of Satan. Lying is not a casual thing. I am not sure there are levels of lying.

When we complain, we are not complaining to people, we are complaining to God. He has done greater things for us than he did for the Israelites. When we complain, God takes it personally. We need to take our eyes off of ourselves and keep them on God.

How, when and where do we worship? Jesus said the time is already here when true worshipers will worship the Father in truth and spirit. There are those who are false worshipers but God is seeking true worshipers. We want to be the kind of true worshipers that God is seeking.

Spiritually speaking, if you are on Jesus’ team and are not engaged in the game and boldly going out to serve him or lifting people in prayer. Are you really a threat to Satan? Are you a Christian in name only? Are you only sitting on the bench with the jersey on?

Three different types of calling

Our eternal call to Jesus Christ for our salvation.

A temporary call to an assignment (maybe ministry, mission work)

A daily call by God to us to a different standard

We are holy, set apart and different. We are pure in the sight of God. He wants us to live pure and holy lives. If you are not different from the world, you are not following Jesus Christ.

How are you going to get faith? Read your Bibles. Instead of trying to get faith by talking about it, read your Bibles. Take those people who read their Bibles—who know them back to back, and see how they stand—they are not shaken by doubts. They know in whom they believe. They have spent much time in the pages of the Scriptures. They are not carried away by any doubt.
