Word of Life Church Podcast

In Pray in the Holy Spirit, part 2 of our series The Helper, Pastor Joel Sims teaches that being filled with the Holy Spirit isn’t a side topic in the New Testament—it’s central to the life of every believer. Learn how the Spirit empowers us to grow personally, serve in God’s kingdom, and share the gospel with those around us and across the world.

In this message, Pastor Joel Sims shows how the god of this world is fighting to keep us dear spiritually, blind spiritually, and speaking only from the flesh. As we give our attention and affection to the Holy Spirit and to our spirits, we will see and hear from the Spirit and speak words from the Spirit.

Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? If so, are you acting like it? In this first message of our new series “The Helper”, Pastor Joel Sims shows us from the scriptures the 3 baptisms. Baptism into Jesus, which is salvation; baptism into water, which is repentance, or leaving behind your sin and this world; and baptism in the Holy Spirit, giving you power to be a witness to Jesus.

When you think of God, do you think of Him as “Father”? In Pastor Joel Sims’ message “What Are You in Faith For?”, we see the Fatherhood of God, presented in Luke 15:20, desiring to welcome us, and impact our lives through His mercy, and bringing to pass His plans for us, through our faith in Him.

Pastor Joel Sims teaches how fathers are called to fight for their families by fighting spiritual battles, protecting their families, and leaving a legacy of faith.

In this message by Pastor Danny Romick, he shows how faith in God paired with serving in the local church opens the door to supernatural breakthroughs in our lives. Drawing from Mark 11, Acts 6, and the powerful example of Jesus washing His disciples’ feet in John 13, Pastor Danny teaches that miracles are available to every believer who plugs into community, exercises faith, and puts their hands to serving others. Whether you’re already on a team or sensing the call to get involved, this message will stir your faith to believe that God is working miracles through your service right where you are.

In this message, guest minister Pastor Vernon Gordon teaches us that what stands between God’s deliverance and our destiny is often fear. Discover how obedience, purity, priorities, and God’s presence empower us to move forward courageously into the promises He has prepared for us.

In this encouraging message by Pastor John Romick, you will be stirred up to fight back in the spirit of faith and victory in Christ when the enemy tries to attack you!

In Know Him, John Romick teaches us that a lack of giving is usually because of a lack of revelation of who God is. It’s hard to believe in someone you don’t know.

Our Wednesday Prayer series, Faith Comes, continues with part 4, where Pastor Joel Sims shares that faith begins with what you hear, speaks instead of striving, and flows from a place of being under Jesus’s authority, directed by His command.
