Let's examine through scripture as to why we should continue to pray in this manner.

Jehoshaphat was a righteous king. He instituted righteous reforms in Judah. He demanded integrity in his judges. After these deeds of faithfulness, he was surrounded by enemies much greater than his military prowess. He sought the Lord and declared a fast throughout Judah. In the midst of the congregation, he declared God's dominion and the nation's dependence on Him.

Prov 18:21

"the power of life and death is in the tongue and they that love it will eat the fruit thereof. "

We are called to use the power of our words very wisely, we are given an authority from God Himself to ' bring things into existance ' As son's of the most high, as a King - Priest we must decree and thigns shall take place.

Although we live in a world full of trials, troubles, and tribulations, we do not live in a world that only has trials, troubles, and tribulations. We live in a world where there is also the comfort of God. In the midst of the difficulties of life, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort sends us the comfort we need to help us go through everything that comes our way.

Christian life is a life of sacrifice. We cannot see glory if we do not sacrifice ourselves on the altar. Flesh must die for the spirit to rule.

Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. John 16:23-24.

We are given a name that stands between God and man the Name of Jesus. When we come before the Father in His name He shall fulfill our joy.
