I went fishing on my pond the other day and caught a few bass, but it was getting kind of hot, so I was thinking about just hanging it up for the day. The very next cast I caught and landed a huge largemouth bass that weighed in at a little over nine pounds on my little scales. That fish fought for its freedom with a vengeance, going under the boat several times and the drag was screaming almost the entire time as the big fish stripped line off seemingly like there was nothing to it. Recently I hung some hummingbird feeders on my back porch, and it wasn’t long before the nifty little birds started draining them of the sugar water that I had placed inside of them. I live on a rural farm located far out in the country and cannot understand how in the world these tiny birds found the two feeders that I placed, but much to our delight one showed up on the very first day. The verdict will most certainly be appealed and likely overturned, but the important thing about this trial is that it marks the beginning of political partisanship in our judicial system of fair trials.
