Sunday carries something sacred. This prayer is an invitation to step away from the doing and return to the being. It reminds us that worship is not confined to a building. It is a response: to God’s faithfulness, to God’s care, to the simple truth that we belong to God. Wherever you are this Sunday — that space becomes holy ground.

Psalm 118:24 reminds us — “That this is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it”. Today’s prayer is not about asking for more. It is about receiving and activating what God has already placed in our hands.
This day. This moment. This gift. Here is how we live fully in it — choosing joy over worry, peace over pressure, presence over rushing. Let’s claim the gift of this day!

Today’s prayer focuses on several scriptures, Isaiah 40 and Psalm 23 and reminds us that our strength is renewed not by striving harder, but by placing our hope in God. God’s promises are sure and constant. Receive God’s promises and walk in renewed strength today.

This morning’s prayer is built on Proverbs 3:5-6 — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will name your path straight.” We don’t just read this promise today. We learn how to activate it. How to walk it out. How to live it for real. Come on and let’s pray!

Today’s prayer challenges us to move beyond simply believing God’s promises to boldly walking in them. God has already spoken, already provided, and is already at work. Today, we choose to walk in these promises — with confidence, purpose, and faith.

Today we build something, but not with our hands. We use the blueprint that is described in Psalm 91 that God offers for our personal daily walk. This blueprint helps us build in this way: A mind anchored in God’s truth. A body that rest in God’s protection. A soul settled in God’s presence. This is the blueprint, we build with, as we learn to walk in it in our daily lives.

Today’s prayer — “I Ask, I Claim, I Receive” — is built on James 4:2, so this Friday morning, we come boldly before God and “Every Listener” gets to insert their own specific need into this prayer — healing, a new mindset, something, anything that you have been seeking, and claim it by faith. Regardless of what the scenario looks like. Regardless of how long the wait has been. We are praying people. Believing people. Receiving people, so we ask for the things on our heart today and trust God for them.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PODCAST:
The vision for “Words For The Soul, Food For The Heart” was born during the Covid-19 pandemic — during a season when the world slowed down, church doors closed, and many people found themselves searching for hope, comfort, strength, and connection. As a pastor, I was determined to stay connected to the congregation and community I served. Week after week, I searched for creative ways to encourage people during uncertain and emotionally heavy times.
What began with simple cellphone video messages and Facebook Live moments eventually grew into something much larger — a calling to speak life, hope, healing, encouragement, and strength not only to a local congregation, but to listeners everywhere.
Today, this podcast reaches people across cities, states, and countries with one consistent mission:
To help people feed their soul before they face their day.
Thank you for allowing this podcast to be part of your life journey. My prayer is that every episode leaves you stronger, wiser, more hopeful, and reminded that God is still present in your story.
with Love,
Jackie W.
