We will discuss two of these characteristics, security, and maturity.

As a believer, it's important to know that when you are in Christ, you are secure. Our scripture for this is John 10:27-28, where Jesus declares that His sheep hear His voice, and He knows them, and they follow Him. He gives eternal life to His sheep, and they shall never perish. For us to be sure that we will never perish, we need to be His sheep.

We will also discuss the second characteristic, which is maturity. Just like a child needs to grow physically, a Christian must also grow spiritually. In 2 Peter 3:18, we are told to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The more we learn about Jesus, the more we grow.

To grow, we must have a desire for the milk of the word, just like a baby desires milk to grow. In 1 Peter 2:2, we are told that as newborn babes, we should desire the sincere milk of the word. As Christians, we must not remain as babes but grow up to be mature.

In today's episode, the speaker discusses the topic of salvation and how one can know that they are saved. The Bible says that if someone confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in their heart that God raised him from the dead, they shall be saved. 

The speaker reads from Psalm chapter one and discusses how it speaks to the two classes of people in the world: the ungodly and the Godly, the saved and the non-saved. He then reads from Colossians chapter two, encouraging believers to continue walking with Christ by faith. The speaker encourages young Christians and explains what it means to be a Christian. 

He says that to be a Christian, one must receive Christ as Savior and Lord, and the proof that one is a Christian is to have the Lord dwelling in their heart. The speaker encourages listeners to examine themselves and to understand that when they become a child of God, they are not perfect and will make mistakes, but as they continue to grow, they will find themselves sinning less.
