In Acts chapter 4, Peter and John are brought before the religious leaders after the healing of the lame man.

They are told not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus anymore, but their answer is clear: they cannot help but speak about what they have seen and heard.

After being released, the believers gather and pray, not for comfort or safety, but for boldness.

Acts 4 shows us a church that understood the cost of following Jesus, but also trusted the power of God to keep speaking through them.

Today is Day 28 of the 52 Day Challenge through Luke and Acts.

In Acts chapter 3, Peter and John encounter a man who had been lame from birth at the Beautiful Gate of the temple.

The man asks for money, but Peter offers something far greater: healing in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

As the crowd gathers in amazement, Peter does not take credit for the miracle. He points everyone back to Jesus, the Author of life, and calls them to repent and turn back to God.

Today is Day 27 of the 52 Day Challenge through Luke and Acts.

In Acts chapter 2, the promise Jesus gave in Acts 1 begins to unfold.

The Holy Spirit comes on the day of Pentecost, Peter stands up and preaches Jesus as the risen Lord and Christ, and thousands respond to the gospel. This chapter also gives us one of the clearest early pictures of the church: devoted to teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, prayer, generosity, and worship.

This is not just the beginning of a movement. It is the continuation of what Jesus began to do and teach.

Today is Day 26 of the 52 Day Challenge through Luke and Acts.

Today we begin the book of Acts with chapter 1.

Luke continues the story after the resurrection of Jesus. The apostles receive their mission, Jesus promises the coming of the Holy Spirit, and then He ascends into heaven. The disciples are called to wait in Jerusalem before the work begins.

This chapter sets the stage for everything that follows. The gospel is going to move from Jerusalem, to Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

In Luke 24, we reach the powerful conclusion of Luke’s Gospel.

The women find the empty tomb. Two disciples meet Jesus on the road to Emmaus. Jesus opens the Scriptures and shows how the Law, the Prophets, and the Psalms all point to Him. Then He sends His disciples out as witnesses of His resurrection.

This chapter reminds us that the resurrection is not just good news to believe.

It is good news to share.

Day 24 closes Luke and prepares us for the book of Acts, where the message of Jesus begins to spread.

Today we are reading Luke 23. This chapter walks us through the trial, sentencing, crucifixion, death, and burial of Jesus.

Jesus is declared innocent, yet still condemned. He is mocked, beaten, crucified, and placed between two criminals. And even in His suffering, He extends mercy to the thief who turns to Him in faith.

Luke 23 reminds us that the cross was not just an act of cruelty. It was the place where Jesus bore the weight of sin and opened the door of salvation.

Welcome to Day 22 of the Luke/Acts 52 Day Challenge.

Today we are reading Luke 22, one of the most sobering chapters in the Gospel of Luke. Jesus shares the Passover with His disciples, gives them the Lord’s Supper, warns Peter about his coming denial, prays in deep anguish, is betrayed by Judas, arrested, mocked, and brought before the council.

This chapter shows the weight of what Jesus was about to endure, but it also shows His steady obedience to the Father.

In today’s reading, Luke 21 begins with the widow’s offering and then moves into some powerful teaching from Jesus about the temple, Jerusalem, persecution, endurance, and being ready.

This chapter is not just about warning.

It is also about hope, endurance, and staying awake spiritually.
