Arizona, 2024), a finalist for the Georgia Poetry Prize and a semifinalist for the Berkshire Prize for Poetry. A fellow at CantoMundo, the Surge Institute, and the Poetry Foundation’s Incubator for Community-Engaged Poets, Báez has served on the boards of the National Book Critics Circle, the International David Foster Wallace Society, and Families Together Co-operative Nursery School. His poems, book reviews, and essays have appeared online and in print. He lives in Chicago and teaches at the City Colleges.

En nuestro cuarto episodio recibimos a una de las poetas mexicanas contemporáneas más celebradas, que ha revitalizado y acercado la poesía contemporánea nuevamente a su público. Se trata de Sara Uribe, una poeta que mediante una propuesta de diálogos y voces colectivas abre sus páginas a formas posibles de autorías compartidas para encarar los más dolorosos temas políticos de su país, como también la reapropiación de importantes escritoras de la historia. Conversamos sobre su trabajo, y sobre cómo la exploración formal es un lugar donde encontrar respuestas.
Patos Salvajes is the radio program of the students of the M.F.A. in Bilingual Creative Writing at the University of Texas at El Paso. In our fourth episode we welcome one of the most celebrated contemporary Mexican poets, who has revitalized and brought contemporary poetry back to her audience. This is Sara Uribe, a poet who through a proposal of dialogues and collective voices opens her pages to possible forms of shared authorship, to face the most painful political issues of her country as well as the reappropriation of important women writers of history. We talked about her work, and how formal exploration is a place to find answers.

(Lee and Low Books 2023), which secured a silver medal at the International Latino Book Awards. She also received Honorable Mention for the 2023 Américas Award for Children's and Young Adult Literature and earned a spot on the 2023 Top Ten List of the In the Margins YA Non Fiction Book Awards for the same work.

This is a warm discussion on how, together with his collective Xingaderas, Manuel has explored the "masks of the border" through art, film and community space.
