1. Jesus’ parents weren’t perfect.

2. Honoring His parents was one of Jesus’ first acts of obedience.

3. Jesus’ parents protected and provided for, Him.
When Jesus, therefore, saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother,

“Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” - John 19:26-27a

4. Jesus took care of His mom before His departure.

5. Honoring our parents, in our youth or as adults, points to the gospel.
