Melissa H. Hinton is based in the central Georgia, USA area where she lives with her husband, Brooks and two children, Caleb and Sarah Kate.

In her day job, she is a Regional Property Manager for a student housing company and oversees multimillion dollar assets across the United States. She loves developing her team into leaders and working with her clients to ensure property success.

Since childhood, Melissa has been a passionate reader and writer. This was partly due to having delays in learning to read, as once she learned, she devoured books and fell in love with the world within books. She began writing poetry in 6th grade and has always dabbled in writing it despite some periodic breaks through adulthood.

In 2017, she began writing poetry and sharing her words on Instagram as The One Day Poet. She is also currently working on self publishing her first book, The One Day Poet, Volume One, as well as developing a leadership training resource called Melissa’s ABCs of Leadership.

Cap'n The Floral Sailor was born and raised in the United Kingdom. Currently an anonymous writer, he values his privacy and prefers to keep his personal life and writing life separate. He also does enjoy the air of mystery that comes with being anonymous.

For as long as he can remember he has been writing absurd worlds, characters and stories from his vivid imagination. This passion only grew when he became a theatre technician, where he worked on the most amazing of shows and events. Ranging from fabulous West End musicals to experimental one-man studio shows. Where he made friends with talented and creative people who propelled him to start taking his writing very seriously within the past few years.

Since then he has been manically writing several stories and projects he hopes to publish soon, primarily in the medium of comics and graphic novels. However, he is learning to write plays as well as screenplays soon after.

His writing is fuelled by his life experiences, which can include the people he surrounds himself with, the media he consumes, and even disastrous adventures brought on to him by misfortune. Cap'n's writing features a sense of humour that could sum up his life story - a comedy of errors.

He loves writing absurd, theatrical stories with a cast of colourful and diverse characters set in worlds where anything is possible - letting his imagination run wild.

For now, however, despite being born in generation Z, he is no better than a boomer when it comes to social media. He shares his writing journey with everyone, aiming to foster a platform that encourages discussion about writing and our interests.

In future he may decide to become a public figure if he feels ready to be one. (Perhaps as a ten million follower special.)

Dessi Nikko is an Eastern European award-winning novelist and filmmaker.

Born in 1986 in Bulgaria, she grew up in a highly problematic post-socialism society to become a cosmopolitan rebel girl in the end. Dessi is interested in psychological fiction, dark humour, satire, all art quirky, urban, audacious.

She won her BA with a ‘Graffiti and PR’ thesis, and her MA – with a short film about school bullying that raised quite a controversy in Bulgaria.

Dessi knew she was to become a writer as soon as she learned how to write. Meanwhile, she worked as a lifeguard, an English teacher, a lifestyle magazine editor and a waitress. In this order. She is positive that these occupations were a good psychological training for her craft. Always based on her own experience and encounters, Dessi Nikko’s semi-memoir narrative is so honest that readers of her debut novel ‘Alice on a Friday Night’ are known to have googled the author to check if she was doing OK. She certainly is!

Dessi Nikko is currently translating the works of other Bulgarian writers and her debut novel ‘Alice on a Friday Night’, which is scheduled to be released on Amazon in the coming months.

Concetta Otero can best be described as a coffee addicted author in her 30s. The girl who brought Goosebumps novels to recess, but always had a yearning to be the person who wrote stories instead of reading them. Her passions led her to obtaining her B.S. in Professional Communications, became an editor and researcher, a certified Life & Wellness Coach with a niche in Author Coaching, and most recently a graduate of Alex Cattoni’s Copy Posse for copywriting. She has a budding coaching business called Writer’s 2nd Sight.

Concetta made her dream a reality with her debut novel, Secrets of the City of Gold. A retelling of the film, The Road to El Dorado. Why? Because she had questions that needed answering, and she wasn’t resting until she wrote the story she always wanted to read. "My name is Katherine Y. Nesbitt. I am an Arizona native and 34 years old. My parents are part of the baby boomer generation. My father’s side of the family is from Canton, China ( at least that’s what it was called when they left). My mother’s side is a blend of European heritage. Since I have both Chinese and Irish in my bloodline, I joke that my ancestors on both sides were exploited to build the American Transcontinental Railroad.

I met my husband a few weeks before I turned 18 at the Arizona State DECA competition. We have been together 16 years, almost half our lives. I love to argue and engage in friendly competition because 'as steel sharpens steel so does one man do for another.' I did not think up that bit of wisdom, myself. It’s actually a Bible verse, the most quoted book in all of English Lit.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Arizona State University and at one time dreamed of being a teacher. I guess God had other plans for my life. Sometimes I wish I could go back and spare myself the challenges I’ve had to face. Then I realize that every experience both good and bad, has shaped me into who I am today. Instead of focusing on my disability, I embrace the abilities it has allotted to me. I have a jaded past that still haunts my dreams sometimes. My memories betray me as I struggle to sort through what really happened in the past but that’s the plight of psychosis, for those on the schizophrenia spectrum.

I want to use my voice to write and to advocate for others who identify as neuro divergent. While I’ve been writing my whole life, I learned proper technique and mechanics at a community outreach center that serves people with disabilities. My two writing instructors, David and Ana Fe, challenged me to grow and exposed me to different elements of storytelling.

The Kennedy administration was very progressive for that era, and true advocates for people like me and their sister Rosemary. They closed asylums in favor of community centers because we should be allowed to be part of the community. We can contribute to society, We have strengths that can be fostered. Everyone has potential but people aren’t born successful, they’re mentored. The problem is that developing people costs money and our community isn’t a top priority in the budget.

I have written one self-published novel called 'J: A Singularity Story.' It’s about a man who spends his life working in Artificial Intelligence. Upon his death, he becomes sort of a sentient being; a ghost communicating through a phone app he developed. His fiancée and her brother go on an adventure to prove that it’s not a hoax and that he has indeed reached singularity. They speak with J’s family, friends, and teachers to prove it’s really J texting back on the app from the great beyond and not just a clever chatbot. They are also trying to find an application for this new technology. The plot is driven by conflicts experienced within: family dynamics, cultural differences, grief and loss.

I have two other works that will be available later this year. One is a collection of 25 poems that will be released as an audiobook although I have not picked a platform to release it on yet. The other is a YA Romance. I haven’t decided yet if I want to release it as an audiobook, screenplay, or novel. The story centers around a young girl who gets recruited to work in a nightclub in New York City. She soon finds out that nothing is what it seems and that everyone has a secret. The plot is driven by interpersonal conflicts, socio-economic conflicts, as well as the logistics and legality of the world's oldest and most taboo industry"
