Sytske is a woman who loves animals and people. She works daily with horses. Her job is to care for 10 horses. She shares in the responsibility for the training of those horses. Besides her love for her animals she has a love for art and writing. Especially writing. She started writing poetry in her native language Dutch as an adolescent to process her feelings. Later she continued in English because she met an international friend Bruce Coleman. He inspired her to evolve her writing. She wrote some short fiction beside her poetry, poetry is her true passion. She can't imagine her life without her poetry anymore.

You can learn a lot about Sytske through reading her poetry. She joined Instagram less than a year ago. She feels very welcome in this community and can be exactly who she is here. She is always looking for new challenges and ways to improve herself. That is how she found word improv and that is why she loves writing to prompts. Since not so long she overcame her fear of speaking in public by going live. This was a big step since she has a form of autism. She hopes to inspires others and be an example for others. She believes that 'Where there is a will there is a way'.

Originally born and raised on a horse ranch in Colorado in the United States, Michelle (@benign.lines) moved to Australia to travel around the country and fell in love with it instead. Michelle’s passion for poetry started when she read her first Shel Silverstein book Falling Up. Her passion for writing began when her mother gave her, her first journal and she wrote tirelessly about anything and everything she encountered. She has enjoyed writing ever since writing and submitting her first chapbook to a poetry competition in 2018.

She attained a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is working her way to earning a master’s degree in social work. Apart from writing, she enjoys playing her instruments, listening to podcasts on long walks, and going to the gym. She has a love for animals and the outdoors but is always keen for a night in with a home cooked meal.
