Whether you acknowledge it or not, every work place has a stereotype in regards to gender, sexual orientation & identification, and culture. The age old stigma of "men tend the fields and women tend the house" is alive and well even to this day. It's almost understood as going against the grain if men were to do jobs such as nursing or baking, likewise if women are mechanics or join the military.
