I originally planned to discuss Star Trek: Picard as well but I was going off a bit about these two episodes alone so I'll save that for another podcast episode. This podcast episode is not like my typical podcasts, honestly, this is more of a rant or my ramblings on various topics. We got some DC/WB news in particular about Ezra Miller and the future of The Flash, confirmation of 'The Batman' movie releasing on HBO Max for streaming, touching the topic of 'Sonic The Hedgehog 2' and then leading to my rant on video game adaptations into TV or Film!

The Flash is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Produced by DC Films, Double Dream, and The Disco Factory, and set for distribution by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is intended to be the fourteenth film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by Andy Muschietti from a screenplay by Christina Hodson and stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash alongside Ron Livingston, Michael Keaton, Kiersey Clemons, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Sasha Calle, and Ben Affleck. In the film, Barry travels back in time to prevent his mother's murder, which brings unintended consequences.

The Batman is a 2022 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Batman. Produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Films, 6th & Idaho, and Dylan Clark Productions, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is a reboot of the Batman film franchise. The film was directed by Matt Reeves, who wrote the screenplay with Peter Craig. It stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman alongside Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell. The film sees Batman, who has been fighting crime in Gotham City for two years, uncover corruption while pursuing the Riddler (Dano), a serial killer who targets Gotham's elite.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is a 2022 action-adventure comedy film based on the video game franchise published by Sega. It is the sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), and was directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington. It stars Ben Schwartz reprising his role as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog, alongside James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Lee Majdoub, Idris Elba and Jim Carrey. The film follows Sonic and Tails, who team up to find the Master Emerald before Dr. Robotnik and Knuckles the Echidna do, while also contending with the military organization G.U.N.

On this podcast episode I ponder the question - Am I a Trekkie? I recently watched the 'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds' trailer and that spurred some nostalgia feelings of when I used to watch the 'Star Trek' TV series when I was young. Now it has been quite some time since I last watched any 'Star Trek' but I wanted to check out the Paramount+ offerings since I have the subscription now. So, I watched the first episodes of 'Picard' and 'Discovery' then ended up watching some more episodes of 'Picard' which kept me up late (and hence this late podcast upload)!

Also, April 5th is considered "First Contact Day" as this is in reference to the date April 5, 2063 of when Humans first made contact with the Vulcans in the 'Star Trek: First Contact' movie.

On this podcast episode (SPOILER WARNING) we're going over the first episode of the 'HALO' TV Series based off the video game series of the same name. As a casual fan of the video game I'm not at all that knowledgeable of the 'HALO' lore besides knowing the main character in the game, John-117 "Master Chief" and Cortana (who we don't really see in the show yet). But I do take you through some of my likes and dislikes so far with this TV series and possibly answer the question: Is this show for you???

Marvel's 'The Defenders'

Four of Marvel's biggest heroes are each working individually but have one common goal in mind -- to save New York City. Burdened with their own personal challenges, Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand (Iron Fist) realize that they likely won't be able to accomplish their goals working solo. That realization leads them to team up and form The Defenders, a supergroup that is more equipped to save the Big Apple than the heroes would be if they continued to work on their own.

Marvel's Iron Fist

When Danny Rand was 10-years old, he survived a mysterious plane crash that claimed the lives of his extremely wealthy parents. Rescued by warrior monks, Danny grew up in the of city of K'un-Lun, where he endured harsh conditions, but also trained to be a fierce warrior. Years later, Danny returns home to New York, where he wants to reconnect with his past and take his rightful place at his family's company, which is being run by his father's former business partner. Danny hopes to restore his family legacy by defeating the people who threaten it.
