Welcome to the very first episode of Work Time Fun Podcast!
I'm your co-worker, EL, nice to meet you!
This is water cooler talk going over tv and movie reviews mostly in the superhero genre (but not only).
We'll go on the tangent and talk about things that you would expect out of any co-worker but nothing toxic of course.
This podcast is meant for an adult audience but I don't intend to be explicit, on the contrary, I feel like I go over things pretty smoothly and I hope you feel like it too!
On this episode we're going over three of the most recent movies I've watched: The Batman, Turning Red and The Adam Project.
The Batman (PG-13)
Batman ventures into Gotham City's underworld when a sadistic killer leaves behind a trail of cryptic clues. As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator's plans become clear, he must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued the metropolis.
Release date: March 4, 2022 (USA)
Director: Matt Reeves
Starring: Robert Pattinson; Zoë Kravitz; Paul Dano; Jeffrey Wright; John Turturro; Peter Sarsgaard; Andy Serkis; Colin Farrell
Music by: Michael Giacchino
Turning Red (PG)
Young actress Rosalie Chiang lends her voice to Mei Lee, a 13-year-old who suddenly “poofs” into a giant red panda when she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS). Sandra Oh voices Mei Lee’s protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, who is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. Directed by Shi and produced by Lindsey Collins, Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” is now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
Directed By: Domee Shi
Produced By: Lindsey Collins
Cast: Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh
The Adam Project (PG-13)
After accidentally crash-landing in 2022, time-traveling fighter pilot Adam Reed teams up with his 12-year-old self for a mission to save the future.
Release date: March 9, 2022 (USA)
Director: Shawn Levy
Starring: Ryan Reynolds; Mark Ruffalo; Jennifer Garner; Walker Scobell; Catherine Keener; Zoe Saldaña
Note: I mistakenly stated John Turturro was in the movie ‘Men In Black’ but what I was actually thinking of was one of the ‘Transformers’ movies.
