We're introducing a new, recurring, segment on our podcast called WTF of the week. It's a short discussion of current work related stories that make us say WTF!
The rest of the episode discusses the movie Liar Liar. We talk about being honest at work, what it means and how honest we really are. We throw in hypotheticals such as could you last a day or week at work if you couldn't tell a single lie, or would you call your boss out if you caught them in a lie. This is probably one of our most heated episodes and we've got a lot to say about honesty.

This week is all about a tear-jerker movie called The Pursuit of Happyness. The themes in this movie really revolve around persistence, grit, and risk taking. Did Will Smith's character make the right decisions in his life? Should he have done something differently?
Other topics we discuss is how unpaid internships are the devil, sales tactics and burnout, and the general way the system screws us when we're down on our luck.

Limitless is the movie we're dissecting this week. The movie gives us an insight into what's possible when you have limitless energy and brain power, especially at work. We go into details on what we'd do with this power, how we'd improve our lives (quit our jobs), and more. We get a bit philosophical as well trying to figure out why we're in this rat race, why we strive to achieve success at our jobs, why we chase money and power.

This episode we flip things around a bit! Instead of discussing a movie, we read a workplace novel called Operation Clusterpuck by Jennifer Rock and Michael Voss. We managed to snag them in for an interview as well!
We talk about Jennifer and Michael's inspiration for the book, how they quit their jobs, corporate communication, terrible bosses, and most importantly, pot lucks!

This one's all about Risky Business. What does the movie teach us? Living in privilege in a high income suburb really sets you up for success. What if you're not Joel from Glencoe? How does your career and the risks you take effect your future? I guess sometimes you just have to say what the heck.

In this third episode of the third season we're talking about Thank You For Smoking. What have we learned from this movie? Public speaking, debating in tough environments, loyalty, and when to back down from an argument to save your career.

This is the second episode of the third season. This time we're reviewing the movie Up In The Air. We discuss the situations in the move that we all face at work: firings, travel, emerging technologies, and probably much more! You'll hear our takes on being fired, letting people go, what you can do to prepare, and if we could do what George Clooney's character does.

Folks, this is it... our last episode of the second season discussing the seven deadly sins. We think this is the sexiest sin of them all. Listen to this episode to find out what our most "proud" moments are, what pride means in the workplace, and much more. The season ends how it started: with Adam being our gracious guest.

What's the difference between envy and jealousy? Well, you won't find the answer in this episode. However, we'll discuss the things we envy at work, how envy can complicate relationships, and much more!
We also got a bit off topic and discussed the concept of the two week notice when leaving a job, but it was good so we kept it in. It's our gift to you.
