As Chair of the Assembly Housing and Community Development Committee and the California Legislative LGBTQ Caucus, he leads efforts on housing, homelessness, climate policy, and government transparency. Previously a San Diego City Councilmember, Chris also worked as Chief of Staff to Senator Marty Block and has a background in urban planning. He holds degrees from Johns Hopkins and Harvard, and lives in University Heights with his partner Thom and their two children.
