One of the biggest sources of financial stress is simply not knowing what the future holds.
Many women avoid looking at their retirement numbers because they're afraid of what they'll find. But avoiding the information doesn't change the outcome—it only delays your ability to prepare.
Today, we're going to take the mystery out of Social Security.
This isn't about becoming a retirement expert. It's about spending a few minutes gathering information that will help you make better financial decisions moving forward.
Because knowledge replaces fear with a plan.
When we think about staying healthy, we usually think about our heart, our muscles, or even our digestive system. But today I want to talk about one of the most overlooked systems in the body—the lymphatic system.
The amazing thing is that our lymphatic system works around the clock to support our immune system and remove waste from our tissues. Unlike our circulatory system, though, it doesn't have a pump like the heart. It relies on movement, breathing, and muscle contractions to keep everything flowing.
That means we actually have the ability to help our bodies do what they were designed to do.
Major life transitions have a way of attacking our confidence.
Maybe your marriage ended.
Maybe you lost your job.
Maybe your children grew up and moved away.
Maybe illness changed what your body can do.
Suddenly the life you knew is gone, and somewhere in the process, your confidence disappeared too.
One of the hardest parts of starting over isn't rebuilding your finances or finding a new routine.
It's rebuilding how you see yourself.
Today we're talking about rebuilding self-esteem—not through empty positive thinking, but through small daily actions that remind you who you really are.
One of the words Jesus uses over and over is abide.
It's a beautiful word...but honestly, it's not one we use very often today.
We don't tell someone to "abide" at the grocery store.
We don't say we're "abiding" with our friends.
So what exactly did Jesus mean?
And why did He make it such an important part of following Him?
If you're in a season of starting over—whether after divorce, loss, empty nesting, financial hardship, or simply rebuilding your life—you've probably had moments where you've thought:
"Everything depends on me."
I have to figure this out.
I have to pay the bills.
I have to make the right decisions.
I have to hold everything together.
That's an exhausting way to live.
Today I want to talk about the invitation Jesus gives us instead.
We live in a culture that constantly tells us we need more. A bigger house. A newer car. More subscriptions. More stuff. More experiences. More everything.
The problem is that trying to have it all often leaves us financially stressed, anxious, and one emergency away from a crisis.
In this episode, we're talking about the importance of financial margin—the breathing room in your budget that allows you to handle life's surprises without panic. Financial security isn't about looking wealthy. It's about creating enough space in your finances that you aren't living paycheck to paycheck or relying on debt every time something unexpected happens.
Creating margin may require difficult choices. It may mean downsizing, driving an older vehicle, delaying purchases, or choosing a simpler lifestyle. But the peace that comes from having financial breathing room is worth far more than the temporary satisfaction of keeping up with everyone else.
When life feels overwhelming, the last thing you need is another complicated diet. In this episode, we're talking about simple, realistic food swaps that can improve your health without turning your life upside down. If you're starting over in the middle of life, you don't need perfection—you need sustainable habits. Sometimes one small change can create momentum that leads to bigger changes later. Let's explore some easy ways to nourish your body, increase your energy, and take care of your health one choice at a time.
Feeling overwhelmed? You're not alone.
When life changes unexpectedly, it can feel like everything needs your attention right now. The bills, the emotions, the decisions, the future—it all piles up until you don't know where to start.
In this episode, we're talking about a simple but powerful question that can help you find clarity when life feels chaotic: What matters most right now?
We'll explore why overwhelm happens, how to stop trying to solve everything at once, and why slowing down may actually be the fastest way to move forward.
When you're walking through a difficult season, it's easy to focus on what's wrong, what's missing, or what hasn't happened yet. But throughout Scripture, God repeatedly tells His people to remember.
Remember His faithfulness.
Remember His provision.
Remember His promises.
Remember His goodness.
Why? Because remembering strengthens our faith for today.
In this episode, we're talking about the spiritual discipline of remembering what God has done in your life. If you're in a season of waiting, rebuilding, grief, uncertainty, or starting over, this conversation will encourage you to look back and see the fingerprints of God all over your story.
What He has done before is evidence of His faithfulness now.
Goals matter because they keep us future-focused. They remind us there is still life ahead, growth ahead, healing ahead, and purpose ahead. But good, realistic goals also need flexibility because life changes. The woman you were in January may not be the same woman you are today — and that’s not failure. That’s growth.
There comes a moment in almost every “starting over” story where you realize the hardest battle isn’t always the future — sometimes it’s making peace with what already happened.
Maybe you said:
Sometimes the pain comes from someone else’s choices.
Sometimes it comes from circumstances beyond your control.
And sometimes the hardest part is grieving the version of yourself who thought life would go another way.
Making peace with the past does not mean pretending it didn’t hurt.
It doesn’t mean calling wrong things right.
It means releasing the constant fight with reality so healing can finally begin.
