Hello, my name is Tiffany, and welcome to the podcast Working on Amazing.
This is a podcast where we talk about the work that it takes to rebuild an amazing life.
Thank you for joining me today.
Today's episode, we're gonna talk about our physical health.
If you'll remember, in the very beginning, I said there were five areas I focused on when I rebuilt my life.
I focused on my spiritual health, my mental health, my physical health, my financial health, and growth and goals.
So today's episode is gonna fall under that physical health category, and we're gonna talk about what we eat.
I know.
Nobody wants to talk about diet.
And I don't really like the word diet.
There are so many different diets out there, and they can contradict each other.
One says, go low carb.
One says, go low calorie.
One says, go high fat.
One says, go low fat.
They all are crazy, which makes following them hard.
It's difficult to follow a super restrictive diet long term and truly make that lifestyle change, I believe, especially if you're constantly counting things like calories and carbs and all that.
I feel like you can motivate yourself to do it for a while, maybe a couple of weeks, maybe a few months.
But eventually, you're going to fall off that wagon.
Some of these diets can give you results, but sometimes they're really unhealthy.
I had a friend from college, I mean, it's been several years since I graduated college, but I found out that he ended up in the hospital, and they could not figure out why his vitals were so off the charts, like he was just in a bad place.
I mean, like in the hospital, right?
And they were talking to him, like trying to figure out what was causing his vitals to be so off the charts.
They realized he was doing keto, and they're like, okay, we fixed it, stop doing that.
Keto is not good for your health long term.
Short term, maybe a little bit low carb, it could be okay, but in the extreme, yes, my friend lost weight, good for him, but he also ended up in the hospital.
So a lot of these diets go really extreme, and I don't feel like in the long term, that's healthy, and they're difficult to follow.
So I've tried several different ones throughout my life.
I've tried, I did try keto, I've tried different things, and it's frustrating because you go to the grocery store, and you're like, okay, they say read the nutrition facts.
So you look at the nutrition facts.
Well, like I said, one diet is low fat.
Another diet is high fat.
Well, it depends on what kind of fat you're talking about.
If you're talking about omega-3 fatty acids, that's good.
If you're talking about a different kind of fat, maybe that's fat.
Are you going low carb?
Are you going low calorie?
So I can look at these nutrition facts, but I'm always like, but which method do I follow?
Because there's so many out there.
I find diets frustrating.
I find them restrictive.
I find them difficult to implement long term and have true lasting results.
So I have tried a new shift in my diet over the past several months.
And I want to share it with you.
I think it's way simpler.
Super simple.
Still can be a little challenging.
I'm not going to lie.
But it's simple.
And I like simplicity.
And I think it has a lot of really good results.
So what I am going to challenge you to do, to think about, to consid
