Welcome to the Working Perspectives Podcast

Volkswagen has 300k different vehicles sitting around because of the recall

Volkswagen is recalling 300,000 vehicles worldwide because of a software glitch that could cause the airbags to deploy incorrectly. The recall affects the Golf, Jetta, and Tiguan models.

The glitch could cause the airbags to deploy when they are not supposed to, which could lead to serious injuries or death. Volkswagen is urging owners of affected vehicles to take them to a dealership to have the software updated.

Lizzo is a jerk

Lizzo has been under fire for her recent behavior. She was criticized for making fun of a fan's weight, and she was also accused of being rude to her staff.

Lizzo has since apologized for her behavior, but many people are still not happy with her. Some people believe that she is a jerk, while others believe that she is just misunderstood.

Trump mocking the womens soccer team

Former President Trump mocked the US women's soccer team after they lost to Canada in the Olympic gold medal match. Trump tweeted that the team "should have been celebrating a beautiful win, but instead they lost, and lost badly."

Trump's comments were met with widespread criticism. Many people felt that he was being disrespectful to the team, and they accused him of sexism.

Torey Lanz shot Meghan the Stallion

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion was shot in both feet by her friend Tory Lanez in July 2020. Lanez was arrested and charged with felony assault with a firearm.

Lanez has since pleaded not guilty to the charges. He is scheduled to go to trial in September 2023.

A Japanese man pays $17,400 to be a dog

A Japanese man has paid $17,400 to be a dog. He wears a special suit that allows him to walk on all fours and bark like a dog.

The man says that he has always wanted to be a dog, and he believes that the suit allows him to live his dream. He says that he feels more relaxed and happy when he is wearing the suit.

Dave Portnoy Bought barstool back

Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, has bought the company back from Penn National Gaming. Portnoy had sold Barstool to Penn National in 2020 for $450 million, but he exercised an option to buy the company back for $100 million in August 2023.

Portnoy says that he is excited to take Barstool back to its roots. He plans to focus on the company's digital content and its live events business.

I know that many of you are also juggling multiple roles, so we wanted to share some of the tips that have helped her. First, it's important to set priorities. What are the most important things to you? Once you know your priorities, you can start to make decisions about how to allocate your time.

Another important thing is to delegate. Don't be afraid to ask for help from your spouse, family, or friends. They can help you with things like childcare, cooking, or cleaning.

Finally, it's important to take care of yourself. Make sure you're getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, and exercising. When you're taking care of yourself, you're better able to take care of others.

I know that balancing multiple roles can be challenging, but it's definitely possible. If you're feeling overwhelmed, just remember that you're not alone. There are many other women out there who are doing it too.

In this video, Molly Godfrey will share some specific tips that have worked for her, as well as some of the challenges she has faced. I hope you'll find it helpful!
