  • 3 Comics You Need to Read Right Now!

World at War Comics interviews Omari Malik from Black Tooth Publishing about his exciting slate of indy comics. Hear about Black Tooth Publishing and Omari's journey as a creator in the world of indie comic books. BlackTooth Publishing, LLC is a Brooklyn, NY based publishing company founded by Omari Malik.

BlackTooth Publishing is focused on giving creators a platform to express themselves unapologetically through literature. Omari Malik was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. Like any great superhero story, Malik’s story is one of both tragedy and triumph. After losing his father at 7 years old, Malik turned comic books and music as an outlet. At 17 years old, Malik moved to New York City to attend college with less than $200 to his name. Through prayer and perseverance, Malik graduated with both a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree. Shortly after graduating, Malik entered corporate America and worked as an insurance broker, but was unsatisfied. This lack of fulfillment led to Malik founding BlackTooth Publishing and pursuing a career as a writer.

They discuss their writing process and the upcoming release of the comic books in August. THE GALAXY'S MOST DANGEROUS (AND ADORABLE) WEAPON RETURNS! • How Christopher Priest Changed Comics Forever!

World at War Comics is excited to chat with Christopher Priest about his work in the world of comic books! From Milestone Media to his current Vampirella run with Dynamite Comics, this conversation is a must-see.

His latest title with Dynamite is Sonja Reborn which hits stores this August. In a contest to decide the fate of the world, the ancient (and codependent) gods The Light and The Dark transport Maggie Sutherland, a young British clerk, from the year 2025 into the wilds of Hyboria, where she awakens transformed into the renowned Hyrkanian Bellatrix Red Sonja.

Thrown headlong into a realm of gods and monsters, Maggie must quickly learn how to survive both the harsh environment and the constant threats posed by friends and foes alike as she struggles to find her way home.

Legendary comics writer CHRISTOPHER PRIEST (Vampirella, Black Panther, Conan) and artist ALESSANDRO MIRACOLO rebuild the crimson-maned warrior from the inside out in Sonja Reborn - a riveting reinterpretation of her hero's journey that reveals what it might actually take for a single woman to survive in a brutal world of sorcery and barbarism!
