In this episode we talk about round 3 of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship - Xross Hard Enduro Rally. Taking place from the 19th - 22nd of June in the Serbian mountains, this is the first rally style race of the championship.

We welcome Matthew Green onto the World Hard Enduro Podcast after his 11th place finish at the 2024 Erzbergrodeo. We discuss his experience at the race delving deeper into his thoughts about the race from a participants perspective. We also get a glimpse into the chaos that is the Erzberg parade. 

In 2022 Matthew was crowned the first ever Hard Enduro Junior Champion and has already set the foundations for a successful racing career. Matthew talks about his experience with the world championship and his move to Italy. 

He started racing competitively as a young boy and has many stories to tell about his earlier experiences as well as diving into the South African Hard enduro scene.

In this episode we talk about Round 2 of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship at the 2024 Erzbergrodeo.

Firstly, we are excited to announce that the X-Grip will be supporting the World Hard Enduro Podcast for the remainder of the 2024 season. This race was wild! From skies and burnouts during the parade this event brought the entertainment from day one! Prologue consisted of 2 wet but fast days where 1300 riders pushed flat out to secure themselves a starting position on the first row for the main race. 10 rows of 50 riders lined up all the take on the iron giant.

The main race started off with total chaos and the surprises didn’t end there. We discuss all the highlights from the Sunday as well as the final results. We absolutely thrived watching the Red Bull live of this event and highly recommend this to anyone who hasn’t watched it already.

In this episode we talk about round 2 of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship - Erzbergrodeo. Taking place from May 30th - June 2nd this event is one of the most prestigious in the enduro scene attracting thousands of riders and a million supporters each year.

We dive deep into the myth that is Erzbergrodeo and a brief history lesson on where it all started and what the race is all about. This is a 4 day event with different activities taking place each day. From the MITAS ROCKET RIDE to PROLOGUE, from the SIBERIA TRIAL XTREME CHALLENGE to the main race (RED BULL HARE SCRAMBLE). This is a weekend not to be missed.

There is an impressive list of riders attending this event from pro championship contenders to juniors, women planning to battle it out for the Hard Enduro Performance Award as well as top riders aiming to cross the finish line and make their mark on 2024. In this episode we talk about Round 1 of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship at Valleys Hard Enduro. We discuss a recent hard enduro race that happened on the same weekend in Romania - Enduro Panorama which had some extreme weather conditions.

There is a lot to unpack with this race starting with Day 1 - Prologue/ Super Enduro where we saw some close competition between the top pro riders and some extreme maneuvers too. We highlight your top riders heading into day 2.

Qualification day consisted of 2 races giving the riders more opportunity to clock a fast lap time. With only 1min 40sec between the top 20 riders this ended up being a very surprising day! The top 3 riders in the championship walked away with the first points of the season at the end of day 2.

The last and most important day was the main race. In our last episode we each had different predictions on who would take the win. In the end our top picks were the riders standing top 3 on the podium. A race that came with conditions no one was expecting and a clear top winner heading into round 2.

In this episode we discuss some recent hard enduro races that have happened in the lead up to the first round of the hard enduro championship. We talk about Hard Enduro Arsenal, Extreme XL Lagares as well as Heaven or Hell Xtreme Enduro.  

We recap on the 2024  Valleys Xtreme race that happened earlier this year and debate whether or not riders who attended this event have a competitive advantage leading into round one. 

With Round one only a week away The Valleys Hard Enduro will be taking place from May 10-12. Our enduro specialist gives us a rundown on how this event schedule works and what we can expect from the racing ahead. We also verify who is entered into this first round in both the pro championship class as well as the junior championship class.

In this episode we discuss what hard enduro is, how it changed from the WESS series to the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship and how the championship works.
