Register for the events at Morzine Tourist Office

Basel Fasnacht kicked off this morning at 4am with a parade of lanterns and lights at 4am.

We spoke to Annicken Gravino from the Basel Fasnacht Committee at the end of last week to tell us all about the event and hopefully explain why it starts at such a crazy time!

Baslerfasnacht started this morning at 4am and lasts for 72 hours.

This week looks set to see some fresh snow! has slightly refreshed the pistes.

Areas on the Italian border have received the most snow in the last few days and some resorts around the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc are expecting around 60cm the weekend. The rest of the country is likely to see around 10cm of snowfall this weekend, with bright spells as well.

The Oxfam Winter trail takes place across the border in France this weekend to raise money for a good cause, racing from Abondance to Chatel.

In Davos the Klosers Masters World Cup will see 1000+ participants AND a celebrity race. It promises exciting opening and closing ceremonies too on the 3rd and 5th March.
