Since 2005, one of the Blacksite’s most notorious inmates has been locked away: the so-called Cannibal of Neukölln.

Dangerous, unpredictable and permanently paranoid, he turned daily life on the ward into a minefield of threats, delusions and grotesque obsessions.

In this episode, I take you inside his world:

🧠 Poison paranoia – convinced that staff and patients were secretly drugging his coffee and smearing LSD on his door handle.

⚔️ Constant conflict – every passer-by was a “conspirator,” every neighbour a potential assassin. Even walking past his room felt like Russian roulette.

🍽️ The crime that shocked Berlin – during a sadomasochistic date in 2004, he killed his partner, dismembered the body and stored parts in his fridge.

In court, he openly called the infamous “Cannibal of Rotenburg” his role model.

Welcome to a new episode of "Mindbreak," the podcast that uncovers the hidden and horrifying stories of institutional control. In this episode, we venture deeper into a chilling case that redefines the meaning of psychological torment.

Our source, a patient in a sealed isolation cell, describes a systematic campaign of psychological and physical torture that turns his living space into a deathtrap.

​He recounts how his food and water were allegedly laced with sedatives and other drugs, forcing him to resort to desperate measures - including drinking from a toilet and attempting to drink his own urine - just to stay hydrated and avoid being chemically subdued.

Every meal becomes an act of calculated defiance, as he finds new ways to dispose of poisoned food and identifies kiwis with tell-tale needle marks.

​But the most disturbing revelation is a series of escalating gas attacks. He describes how chemicals were diffused into his cell through the ventilation system, day and night, in a primitive "gassing attempt."

Why would they need his blood? He concludes it’s a sinister plan by a "deep state" to fake his death in an explosion, using the blood as a gruesome stand-in for his body.
