          • U.S. Pacific Northwest dryness and heat will continue through the next ten days
          • Western Europe is burning up today and it will last through mid-week this week

          • Northern Russia remains too wet
          • China's lingering drought should largely dissipate after the coming week of rain
          • Australia's winter crops will continue to limp along
          • Argentina is bitterly cold with near record low temperatures and the cold will prevail this week without a huge impact on crops

WORLD WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS FOR JUNE 30, 2025

              • Western Europe is sweltering in a new heatwave and that will prevail through mid-week this week
                • Cooling is expected during the second half of this week, but significant rain for some of the driest areas may hold off until next week
                • Chatter about hotter weather is also circulating in the marketplace for North America and that is probably a week away, although some warming could begin to show up in Canada and the northern Plains late this week and into the weekend
                  • Model divergence still leaves the bottom line unclear as to the significance of any ridge building that evolves, where it will be located and for how long are still debatable due to model divergence
                  • World Weather, Inc. urges caution for Canada and some U.S. crop areas because of the potential to become too dry in time
                    • Canada’s subsoil moisture is still quite low in many areas across the south and east
                      • Any hot weather that evolves in the next few weeks without a general soaking rain first will result in rising crop stress
                      • S. topsoil moisture declined late last week, but weekend showers and thunderstorms helped restore favorable conditions in “some” areas, but not all
                        • An erratic rainfall pattern this week should bring some improved topsoil moisture to some areas, but pocket of dryness may also emerge or expand and those areas will need to be monitored for later this month when drier and warmer weather evolves
                        • Northern China’s lingering dry region (near and north of the Yellow River) should be eased by rain in the next few days
                        • Drying is likely in east-central and southeastern China during the coming week to possibly ten days
                        • Western Thailand is a little dry and greater rain would be welcome
                        • Central and northwestern Sumatra, Indonesia still needs greater rain
                          • Some expansion of drier biased conditions is occurring in parts of Indonesia
                          • Excessive rain and flooding occurred in northern Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina during the weekend resulting in some flooding
                          • Less rain is expected in southern Brazil this week and that will be good for reducing flood water and possibly beginning to firm the topsoil for better wheat planting and Safrinha crop maturation conditions in time
                          • Argentina will be quite cold this week with some that cold expected to reach into Paraguay, Uruguay and far western and southern most Brazil
                          • No Brazilian coffee, citrus or sugarcane area is expected to be threatened by damaging cold weather anytime soon
                          • India will continue wet in the central, north and east while west-central and southern areas are quite dry
                          • Australia’s greatest rain will be near the coasts and not in interior crop areas during the next week to ten days
                          • Russia’s crop areas north of Ukraine, Russia’s Southern Region and Kazakhstan will be subjected to frequent rain in the coming week to ten days and a drier and warmer pattern will be needed for a while thereafter to ensure the best crop development.

                            Highlights In This Audio

                            • The july outlook for the Prairies is likely too wet
                            • Harsh conditions are likely in the first half of July with heat and dryness in the southwestern Prairies
                            • Rain opportunities improve in late July, but the moisture comes a little too late for any area to end up wetter biased for the month except possibly in the Peace River region
                            • Late July rainfall will be blotchy leaving the month drier than usual in many areas in the central and east with a few pockets of near normal moisture
                            • crop moisture stress will be heightened and concern about production will return to the drier areas of the southwest and continuing in crop areas of the northeast

                              CHANGES SINCE FRIDAY

No general theme changes were noted since Friday; however, divergence between the GFS and European models today for the coming ten-day forecast period in the U.S. is great with the GFS notably wetter than the ECMWF for the coming ten days especially in the north

                                • The GFS is likely too wet
                                • Relative to Friday’s mid-day GFS model run, rainfall for this week was slightly reduced over that advertised previously for northern U.S. Midwest
                                • Some reduction in rainfall was suggested today for northeastern and east-central Europe relative to that of Friday
                                • Far southwestern and extreme eastern Australia is advertised a little wetter in the coming week relative to that of Friday
                                • Heavy rain fell in southern Brazil and southeastern Paraguay during the weekend with some flooding suspected
                                  • Drier weather is advertised for the coming week which is consistent to the outlook Friday
                                    • Not all areas will be dry this week
                                    • Argentina continues dry biased over the next ten days
                                    • Argentina temperatures will be well below normal this week with hard freezes in many areas and some snowfall in the southwest
                                      • The cold will advance to Paraguay, Uruguay and far southern Brazil later in the week
                                      • Canada’s southern Prairies do not get much rain in the south during the coming ten days
                                        • Temperatures will be trending warmer than usual
                                        • Some areas in the Prairies are still dry biased and in need of significant moisture

                                            • this stronger ridge, drier and warmer bias is not likely to last long, but it may excite a few folks
                                            • U.S. temperatures may be in the 90s and near and above 100 in the northwestern Plains in week two

                                              • Russia's small grain and sunseed region will be a little too wet for a while

WORLD WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS FOR JUNE 27, 2025

                                                • Not many changes noted overnight, but be watchful for the potential for a stronger ridge of high pressure to “possibly” show up on future model runs resulting in less rain for Canada’s Prairies and the central United States
                                                • Rain is still advertised across northern and central Russia with some of the Ural Mountains region and middle Volga River Basin becoming too wet in time
                                                • Northern China’s dry region from the northern Yellow River Basin northward into Inner Mongolia is still expecting rain of significance in the coming week easing long term dryness and largely eliminating drought from the region
                                                • Western Europe heat and dryness will reach a new peak this weekend and early next week before weakening and giving way to “some” rain and cooling later next week through the second week of July
                                                • Australia rainfall will continue limited and winter crops are not well established, but may get through the winter well enough to improve with timely spring precipitation, although the situation will need to be closely monitored
                                                • Argentina dry pattern continues for at least another week and perhaps 8-9 days
                                                  • Today’s 00z ECMWF model suggested a better chance for rain after that in some of the dry areas of the west
                                                    • Confidence is low for this change to verify
                                                    • Rain is more likely to stay east of the driest area for a while longer
                                                    • Excessive rain is still slated for southern Brazil in the coming week resulting in more delay to winter wheat planting and additional concern about the environment for Safrinha corn maturation conditions
                                                    • Center west Brazil corn and cotton maturation and harvesting should advance relatively well with little to no rain likely
                                                    • S. weather is still advertised to be relatively well balanced over the coming week to ten days with alternating periods of rain and sunshine; although, watch for pockets of drying in the July 5-12 period
                                                    • Canada’s southwestern Prairies may not receive an abundance of rain in the next ten days and net drying is possible
                                                    • India will stay plenty wet in north-central and eastern parts of the nation during the next two weeks while the south is drier than usual
                                                    • Central and northern Sumatra, Indonesia and western Thailand rainfall will need to be closely monitored due to some dryness already present in these areas and a limited rainfall pattern expected for at least another week

                                                      • U.S. weather will remain good for another week to ten days
                                                        • Ridge building is likely after that in the central states which will reduce rain and increase the heat
                                                          • Canada might be impacted as well
                                                          • This will not be a festering pattern and relief is expected later in July

                                                              • Favorable world weather continues to dominate the marketplace with little sign of change there are a few areas of interest remaining though
                                                                • Some areas in northern and central Russia are running a risk of being a little too wet and some temporary drying would be welcome
