    Rachel is the co-owner of PR Performance Fitness, a personal training studio in Northern Virginia. She and her business partner Pablo Amaya established the business 6 years ago with one on one training and group classes, but now they have expanded their services to sport specific training programs and have seen their clients make it to the collegiate and professional level. 
    As a former full time student-athlete, Rachel successfully balanced her commitments to her basketball career and to her goal of acquiring her B.S. in Biology at the University of Mary Washington. Having gone through 3 preventable knee surgeries (from a non-contact injury) her passion for training comes from empowering her clients with knowledge about how their body works.  She looks to continue making an impact through education and enthusiasm.

  • Episode 22 - Devonte Tymon (Artist & Producer)

    Devonte Tymon, a Virginia native, driven by the belief that music truly is what feelings sound like. Taking you on a roller coaster of emotions in his latest and first body of work, “No Boundaries” where he truly exemplifies and embodies the self titled project to the fullest. In his first project, “No Boundaries” produced and co produced equally between himself and musical colleague Jang; Devonte solidifies his authentic sound and unique execution of his style of rap music. 

    Devonte’s musical career started at age 16, in his local high school. From his first days as an artist, he propelled himself with confidence in his writing ability and began to amplify the creative he has molded himself into today. Intrigued with a way to fully express his feelings, he revealed his talent leading to the passionate road of music and producing. Fueled with a desire to succeed, aspirations of musical greatness, and laser focus on attaining and crushing his goals, Devonte continues to grow as an artist and producer. 

    Tymon continues to stride to make a prominent name for himself. Racking up hundreds of thousands of plays across all streaming platforms, making his way onto numerous radio stations such as, 93.9 WKYS, 95.5, The Vibe, Hot 97, and many more. He looks to be a sure shot with his unique voice and flow to have a long successful career in the music industry.

  • Episode 20 - Kevin Readen (Video Game Designer)

    Kevin works as a game designer on Paladins, a hero shooter published by Hi-Rez Studios. Having worked in quality assurance and now working as a game designer, he comes on this episode to talk about some of the common industry questions with some insight from the other side and descriptions of just what he does in the industry. He is responsible for the last two Champions released into Paladins, and will be responsible for two more in the coming year. In addition to his job, he also streams on Twitch as a hobby and has a passable working relationship with the local squat rack.

  • Episode 18 - Moses Nyeman, Kevin Paredes, Jacob Greene, and Omar Abukar (DC United/Loudoun Players)
    D.C. United signed Moses Nyeman on Oct. 3, 2019, as the 13th Homegrown player in club history. Moses rose through D.C. United’s academy and established himself as a promising mid-field prospect. After four years in the academy system, Nyeman spent the 2019 season with D.C. United’s USL Championship affiliate Loudoun United. Nyeman scored his first goal for Loudoun United during a 3-0 victory over Louisville FC on Jul. 29. The Maryland native recorded his first assist against North Carolina FC as he helped United to a 4-0 victory on Sept. 1. During the 2019 season, Nyeman made 15 appearances for Loudoun United recording a goal and an assist.  
    D.C. United signed midfielder Kevin Paredes as the club’s 14th Homegrown Player on January 17, 2020. The 17-year-old impressed with his ability to score from his midfield position, while remaining disciplined in defense. After breaking through the D.C. United academy, Paredes made his professional debut for D.C. United’s USL Championship affiliate Loudoun United on Sept. 26, 2019. Paredes came on as a substitute during a 4-1 victory over Swope Park Rangers. The 16-year-old made his first start for the club in a 2-0 defeat against Nashville FC on September 29. Paredes recorded his first assist for Loudoun during the 2-1 defeat against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on October 2.  
    Jacob Greene joins Loudoun United after spending five years in the D.C. United academy system. As a member of D.C. United’s academy since the U-13 level, Greene made 113 appearances (99 starts), most recently playing for the U-19 squad. While playing for the U-15 team in the 2017/18 season Greene scored five goals in 23 appearances (22 starts). 
    Coach Omar Abukar is currently the Director of Soccer Operations for the PR Performance Fitness Soccer Academy. He is also working on his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Psychology at Bowie State.  He He also has had the privilege of training numerous athletes for D.C. United such as Moses Nyeman, Oneil Fisher, Donovan Pines, and Chris Odoi-Atsem. I have also worked with A J Sam (SD Huesca Spain), Juan Torres (””), Lucas Joyuce (Sporting Portugal), Lucas Mendes, Sandor Bustamante, and Jacob Green with USL.

He is currently enrolled at AMU and Germanna Community College majoring in Homeland Security and Administration of Justice respectively. He is an active member of the NOVA Eagles Rugby League team.

    Jason Ford is a former Student Government President at the University of Mary Washington and graduated with a bachelors degree in political science.  
    *Two updates/corrections on content in the podcast - I made a reference to there being a “couple hundred Federalist Papers and I made it through 80 something of them.” This was meant to be a couple hundred pages in the book that compiled them, not the papers themselves. There are 85 Federalist Papers.   Second one is a reference of some of the founding fathers being our age. They were more in their 20’s during the signing of the Declaration of Independence rather than the Constitution.
