Kyndryl marks first year apart from IBM
“We are advising, designing, building, deploying, and managing the world’s most critical infrastructure,” says Gretchen Tinnerman, US Global Practice Leader for Network and Edge, of Kyndryl. “But we’re doing that in a transformed state.” Tinnerman defines the transformed state as a company that invests heavily in its team, focusing on “reskilling” and “upskilling”. For Kyndryl, 5G not only changes the conversation, and the way we hold the conversation, but 5G also changes the way we do things, including valuing the people inside an organization that make it all happen. In this podcast, we learn how Kyndryl, the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider was spun off out of IBM one year ago. Since then, Kyndryl has seen a lot of customer demand for 5G and edge computing support, with use cases ranging from personal safety to manufacturing automation. Kyndryl has also advised thousands of customers globally on how to embrace edge computing to open new dimensions for their business. Tinnerman discusses the experiences of the past year, looks into the future and comments on the major trends she sees in the industry.
