Mauro Woody and Clifford Grindstaff are both pillars of the DIY scene in ALbuquerque, and thoroughly lovely folks. Besides doing solo performance as Lady Uranium, Mauro plays in a ton of other projects, including Chicharra, one of my favorite bands currently around. She plays bass in that band, as do Marisa and Monica Demarco (folks I very much hope to have on the show in the future). Cliff has also played in a ton of bands, including Marisa's project Bigawatt, which is how I first met Marisa and Cliff years ago, introducing me to the amazing experimental scene in Albuquerque that I had missed for my first decade of touring the US.
