  • Forgiveness: For God So Loved the World

    I mention a few verses that reflect God's direction when it comes to forgiveness, why is it so important? Why does God talk about it so much in his word. Like many of the things I talk about on this Podcast, I tried my best to tackle this conversation.

    Matthew 6: 14-15

    14 For if you Forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.


    Ephesians 4:32

    32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.


    Colossians 3:13-14

    13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

  • Don't Pass The Blame.

    Blame can be an ugly beast that devours us from the inside out. It can turn into bitterness real quick, real fast if we never acknowledge our part in the choices we have made.


    Blaming other people causes us to live blinded to the fact that we aren't perfect, so we would stop blaming other people for things that've never done, to contribute to the person we have become, and where we are in life.

    Taking responsibility for your decisions is way one to face your current inability, to look at yourself in the mirror.

  • Your Memorial - Re-direct
    Re-direct was released in 2012, and it was the third album by Your Memorial on Facedown Records. The album title was straight forward and self explanatory, it was at least to my knowledge. An album about coming back to God, trusting him and being redirected back into a relationship with God. The lyrical content alone has made me want to do an episode, on this album for some time. So now is a better time than ever.

  • Haste The Day - COWARD

    Coward was Haste The Day's last album, the finished work poured into 11 songs that are truly incredible. Definitely divided opinions between fans on whether it was their "best" album. But upon reflection theirs a lot to talk about, from the lyrics to the heartfelt passion, Coward is still an amazing album.

    And with Haste The Day making a comeback, I thought it would be a great time, to look back on this album.

  • For We Are Not Yet, We Are Only Becoming by Comrades
    How do I walk into freedom with my limbs asleep?How do I move through the finite, to eternal things?How does my heart long for home that I’ve never seen?How do I see past the veil of this body?
    In 2019 the band Comrades released For We Are Not Yet, We Are Only Becoming, and album full of incredible lyrically content and amazing musicianship. Much like the lyrics from the song Half-light that I shared above, it's the kind of music that you sit with and truly listen to what's been said. Music should never replace the time we spend in God's word and in his presence.
    But when this album first came out I found myself doing both. Reading God's word and truly hearing the lyrical content for what it was. I think this album had an impact musically on a lot of people, especially artist. The biggest thing I love about the album is the lyrics.
    Here's some from the song No Past.
    All the wrongs,Every hurt,All the lies used to subvert,All the shame,All the guilt,Swept away as river silt.Every falsehood every mask,“For with him there is no past”Doubt is but a shadow cast,“For with him there is no past.”
    I really believe this albums impact was evident by the amount of people, who enjoyed it. I also believe it's because music is a universal language that mostly everyone loves. Music has the ability to destroy barriers between groups of people, who normally wouldn't get along.
    And No Past has some of the best lyrically content in my opinion, because it's talking about the relationship God presents, one were his mercy and his grace, forgives and forgets. Yes a need for repentance, but also relationship. Not because we're perfect but because we can be present.
    These lyrics are from the songs Hollow Point and This Ends with Me.

    Those lyrics in This Ends with Me. Speak volumes and I think that's a great place to finish this description.

  • Relationship not Perfection.

    God wants relationship with us not perfect, when you strive for perfection you end up living for something that cannot save you. Because while we sinners Christ died for us, while we we're distant in our ability to have relationship with God, he sent his one and only son, to pay a debt we never could.
    Check out the video as I try to explain what I mean by this. But please discern for yourself and read the word to get your own understanding.
    Romans 5:6-10 (ESV)
    6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

  • Hope even when you don't understand.

    God is always good, but sometimes when we're in pain or the suffering exist. We forget that God is with us and he is always working, because if you're still alive and you're still breathing, God is not done.

  • Influence: Good or Bad....
    Influence has the power to be good or actually bad. To be an influencer is the influence and encourage people right? I think so definitely, the only problem is this. I don't think some influence's have ever asked themselves if what their doing is good or bad, they've simply set up a camera, opened their mouth and spoke.
    God is very clear that you and I have the power of life and death in our tongue, which would also mean, the ability to influence good or bad behaviour.
    So I think the question I'm asking, is what your doing good and it's to benefit other people or just yourself?
    I tried to tackle this the best way I could, without sounding Judgmental.
