A lot of things happened at the Last Supper, but two things are often overlooked.

After Judas left, Jesus prayed for the Church to be united. He did this because when we are united, we can make a greater impact in the Kingdom of God, together.

The 11 remaining disciples were all very different, but all were invited to the table. What happened at the table united them.

May we be reminded that all people are welcome at the table with Jesus.

Your eternal life, your salvation, does not depend upon you. It depends upon God.

Put simply -- your salvation is about accepting God's free gift of grace through faith in Jesus.

With Jesus there is always resurrection. There is always new life!

1. God wants us to come to know and follow Jesus.
2. God wants us to be a witness with, and for, Jesus.
3. To remember that Jesus guides our every step as we follow him.

Grace leads to change.

Jesus breaks the mold of conformity.

What do you have a hard time believing?

For many, it's difficult to believe that we can be free from sin -- that we can know grace and be forgiven -- but the Bible tells us that by believing in and following Jesus, we can know that freedom.

We need to ask ourselves some pretty big questions as to continue to engage in our faith:

1. What do I think about God?
2. What does God think about me?
3. What do I think about you?

What does it mean to confess?

What does it mean to repent?

The two words are often seen together in the Bible, but they are actually quite different. "Confess" means to acknowledge that you have done something wrong with regret or remorse. While "repent" is probably best described as a U-turn -- a life change.

We are called to do both and baptism is certainly part of that process. In Acts 2:36-39, Peter tells us to "repent [turn to God] and be baptized [go all in]."

Have you gone all in?

Peter has a pattern of engaging and disengaging. When Peter is close to Jesus, he has no problem engaging with the mission of the church. When Peter is distant from Jesus, he will disengage.

All of us are much the same. Ask yourself: are you engaged or disengaged with Jesus and the mission of the church?

The Spirit of God unites with the mission of God. The same Spirit that fueled the mission of Jesus also fuels the mission of the church.

The Spirit of God unites with the mission of God to help people know the love of God.
