Look to use big bet sizes or even big raises so that when you get to the river the stack-to-pot ratio is small enough that it makes sense to jam when you have the effective nuts!

Turn – 3d:
Dylan checks when the 3 of diamonds comes on the turn and surprisingly, L doesn’t fire a second barrel with his three queens, opting to check back.

River – 3c:
The second board-pairing 3 of clubs on the river is a disaster for L, as he improves to a boat, queens full of threes, but he is still second best to Dylan’s better full house. Dylan decides to try and extract some value, overbetting $1,000. Unsurprisingly, L raises to $5,000, only for Dylan to shove for L’s remaining $7,800.
