When deciding whether to bet with a flush draw or straight draw, it is important to consider the showdown value of your actual hand. Preflop:
With the $4,000 straddle on, Tan Xuan limps with K4 of diamonds from the small blind. After the big blind folds, Tony G raises to $24,000 from the under the gun straddle holding J8 of spades. Xuan calls with his suited king and they head to the flop.

Flop – 6s 5s 3d:
Xuan checks after flopping an open ended straight draw and backdoor flush draw. Tony G, who only has two overcards, a backdoor flush draw and a backdoor straight draw, makes a continuation bet of $50,000. Xuan raises to $160,000 as a semi bluff and Tony G decides to call in position.

Turn – Th:
Neither player improves on the ten of hearts turn, but Xuan continues to represent a strong hand from the flop as he makes an overbet of $382,000. How will Tony G respond?
