In the United States, the scourge of racism is causing the deaths of many Black people especially, Black men by law enforcement personnel, many times with impunity. With racism on the rise in the United States, Garnett Ankle revists two conversations he had with Professor Yohuru Williams. Dr. Williams is a Distinguished University Chair, & Professor Of History, & Founding Director Of The Racial Justice Initiative at the University of Saint Thomas, Saint Paul, Minnesota.

My guest today is Nick Skeadas a Connecticut man who has a business that makes him a living and helps the planet at the same time. Nick manages Curbside Compost, a resource recovery company in Southern Ct. Nick and his wife Erica are raising their two children in Ridgefield, where the family practices thoughtful living.

Nick is here because I personally believe that we are not going to get out of many of the environmental problems we face without the help of business.

Richard Klein - The Artist & The Museum

Our May interview was with Richard Klein, Exhibitions Director at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, who is leaving the museum in June 2022. Hear how his own interests as a practicing artist have evolved in parallel ways to his work as a curator. Richard speaks about the 10 years in which he worked with founder Larry Aldrich, and how this unique museum has changed over the 30 years of his tenure. What were some of the most outstanding and controversial of the 100 exhibits Richard has curated and co-curated at the Aldrich, and what exciting projects does he have up his sleeve for his next phase?

Mae Gibson Brown, co-founder of Salt and Pepper Gospel Choir and mother of Chuck Brown, talks about C.C.'s early years, his amazing musical talent and his career as a choir director, a lead singer with the New Haven-based band Mikata, and a Broadway actor/singer. Before his tragic death last December at age 57, Chuck had become the choir director for a network of five gospel choirs in southern Maryland.

The interview is interspersed with classic gospel songs which Chuck sang while teaching gospel piano lessons to a fellow musician.
