Once again we ask, WHAT DOES SEX HAVE TO DO WITH MONDAY NIGHT RAW? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys gear up for SummerSlam with a weak go-home finish, and an even weaker Biker Crush debut. WWF President Gorilla Monsoon has vacated the IC title while Ahmed Johnson practices posing in a robe, and Savio Vega gets the jobber treatment. Who? leaves us scratching our heads, but Sunny's silhouette will leave you creaming your jeans!
Leave it to Vince McMahon to ask the real questions: WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys witness a match between Aldo Montoya and Jerry Lawler that is surprisingly good! There's talk of a convict returning to the WWF (Bruddah), and a look at Shawn Michaels' ongoing adversities. It's great to see Kevin Kelly on our screens, but not as great to see the 11-man battle royale. Everyone say hi to our newest manager, Hillbilly Bill!
Is that some kind of BOILER ROOM? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys get their first look at Babyface Sid in the ring, one of too many looks at the Mildman Marc Mero, and just the right amount of Steve Austin, the Undertaker, and Mankind. Henry O. Godwinn has a pretty good match with the British Bulldog, and Owen Hart joins us for some commentary. Oh, and we can't forget to mention that ONE-TWO PUNCH, Sable!
It's Shawn Michaels' birthday, so you know he's going to get some 'cake!' In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys get into one of the weirder episodes of Monday Night Raw in recent memory. There are in-ring debuts for The Goon and Freddie Joe Floyd, a terrible Marc Mero promo, a tease of Barry Horowitz' schlong, a guy that looks like Ron Simmons (only bigger), and a rare Tag Team Title match to headline the episode. Brian Pillman is interested in going after some carpet, and so are we!
That jezebel is ruining things! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys review the International Incident Pay Per View; matches featuring "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Sycho Sid, Mankind, the Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and many more fill out the match card. Henry Godwinn steps up into a great match, and surprisingly enough, the Six-Man Tag match was decent as well. Jake Roberts couldn't make it across the border, but that only made things better- O Canada!
Meet the newest Superstar: Betsy! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys gear up for the International Incident by viewing the go-home Raw preceding it. Matches featuring Bart Gunn and Billy Gunn in solo action, the Mildman Marc Mero, Shawn Michaels, and Ahmed Johnson are here, as well as some attempts at promos to get us excited for what's about to happen in the Pay Per View. Don't worry though- T.L. Hopper is here to lead us into the future of wrestling!
We've posted our appearance bond! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys put a cap on the 1996 run of the Ultimate Warrior, and once that's out of the way, Raw gets pretty damn good! Savio Vega, Justin 'Hawk' Bradshaw and the Godwinns all have great matches that are rivaled by the promos cut by Shawn Michaels, Ahmed Johnson, and a mysterious "third man" that we get introduced to. Hell is about to be unleashed, who would have thought that hell could hide behind Ahmed Johnson?
Adios, Mr. 500, don't let the door hit you on the way out! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys sit down to talk about a very special episode of Monday Night Raw. Vince McMahon is at the top of his game here, calling matches featuring Shawn Michaels, Mankind, and Goldust. Ryan has an especially satisfying Jobber of the Week segment, Jason gets to take us back in time for a house show, and Joe's news features some pretty important revelations about the future. Pause it on the hair flip!
What's better to hear: that Stone Cold and the Undertaker are main eventing this show, or that Todd Pettingzoo had kidney stones? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys get some pretty strong examples of what can make for good wrasslin'- Ahmed Johnson takes on Goldust, the Mankind story maintains its pace, and Brian Pillman's promo content was certainly unexpected. Sunny, Cloudy, and the rest of the Tag Team Division remain lowlights for all. Wait, what did that crowd sign say?
The first thing I want to happen, is to get Jake Roberts off of our TV screens! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys get treated to the iconic 1996 King of the Ring. While there are duds involving the Ultimate Warrior and Vader, some shining examples come through with Steve Austin and Goldust. The British Bulldog gets some redemption in his rematch with Shawn Michaels, and Mankind and the Undertaker go one-on-one for the first time. What could go wrong with having two referees?
