The first thing I want to happen, is to get Jake Roberts off of our TV screens! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys get treated to the iconic 1996 King of the Ring. While there are duds involving the Ultimate Warrior and Vader, some shining examples come through with Steve Austin and Goldust. The British Bulldog gets some redemption in his rematch with Shawn Michaels, and Mankind and the Undertaker go one-on-one for the first time. What could go wrong with having two referees?
Expect the unexpected! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys examine the go-home episode of Monday Night Raw that leads into the 1996 King of the Ring. There's another great match between Savio Vega and Stone Cold Steve Austin, another less-than-stellar match featuring the "Mildman" Marc Mero, more bullshit surrounding Jake "The Snake" Roberts, and a crowd-pleasing repeat of that time Ahmed Johnson blasted a pink-shirted jobber through a door. Expect the unexpected!
Hey cool, the Ultimate Warrior is wearing a hat! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys take a look at a very weird episode of Monday Night Raw, with matches featuring Owen Hart, Marc Mero, the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith, and many more. Skip does the best work he can, and the bookers do the best they can to heat up interest for the upcoming Championship rematch between the Bulldog and Shawn Michaels. There's nothing out of the ordinary about a hat, right guys? Right?
That's right kids, it's Christmas, and Santa's here to bring you a break from the Ultimate Warrior! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys sit down and reveal what Xanta Klaus brought them, as well as their Mt. Crushmores (as is tradition). So sit down, pour a drink, and have a taste of nostalgia. Wrasslin' Raw will take next week off to travel and celebrate the holiday, so we will see you in the New Year!
You mean to tell me that Techno Team 2000 is still around? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys start to delve into the 1996 King of the Ring's buildup. Stone Cold Steve Austin, now free of the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, takes on Bob Holly in a qualifier; Mankind takes on Barry Horowitz, and we get treated to a Jim Ross interview afterwards. Sunny does some talking for us, and Hunter Hearst Helmsley does some jobbing. We're taking applications for a new manager, email us today!
What's more surprising: that the Ultimate Warrior actually had another match with Goldust, or that it lasted longer than two minutes? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys examine the Monday Night Raw that fell between both nights of the In Your House 8: Beware of Dog Pay Per View. With matches featuring Vader, Ahmed Johnson, the Smoking Gunns, and the Bodydonnas, this Raw does a fair job. But there's no time for this- we need mouth to mouth!
Will someone PLEASE shut that woman up? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys bear witness to the mess that was In Your House 8: Beware of Dog. From the get-go, it seems like this Pay Per view was cursed- matches like Shawn Michaels and the British Bulldog fail to deliver, matches like Vader and Yokozuna live up to expectations, and the much-talked-about Caribbean Strap Match falls somewhere in between. On a high note, Marlena's popping will have you popping your ass off!
Only the Undertaker can cut a great promo laying down! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys take a look at the go-home Monday Night Raw leading into In Your House 8: Beware of Dog. A confusing run-in from Savio Vega, an amazing promo situation from the Undertaker, a poor match for the British Bulldog, and an increase in Marc Mero's match quality are all points of interest in this episode. Joe has the real scoop though, so make sure to power through to Joe's news segment!
How many Jobber of the Week candidates can they fit into one Monday Night Raw? In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys bear witness to one poor match after another, with the Bodydonnas, Duke the Dumpster Droese, and Aldo Montoya all present and all contending to be Ryan's Jobber. This was balanced out with fantastic interviews with the Undertaker and Goldust, and an excellent match between Shawn Michaels and Hunter Hearst Helmsley. BUT WAS THAT SKIP, OR WAS IT ZIP?
Holy shit, it's Techno Team 2000! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys get to watch one of the least highlighted and least talented tag teams ever, Techno Team 2000, take on the Bodydonnas- and more importantly, Sunny! The British Bulldog has a go with Make a Difference Fatu (featuring Fatu's… family?) The Undertaker goes one-on-one with Owen Hart, and the Wildman Marc Mero makes yet another appearance behind Sable. Good news everyone- Fatu's dance button works again!
