Wrestle Buddies

While the guys didn't get to record this one live, they're back together again to talk about their favorite wrestling movie, Ready to Rumble. The 2000 film was not well-received by critics, but Mat saw it in theaters--as he was a WCW fan during this time for some reason. Mat and Chris watched it together while they were in Dallas and are now prepared to discuss the best and worst moments of the movie. Also, Mat makes the story structure of this movie sound a lot smarter than it actually is.

Chris and Mat are in Dallas, Texas for Wrestlemania and on night one of the trip, they ordered food from WWE's ghost kitchen. Called Smackadillas, the food was terrible, it took two hours to be delivered, it was cold, and the journey up the mountain was just as weird as the view from the top. The guys rate each of the Smackadillas they ordered and discuss their takeaways as they record Wrestle Buddies for the first time in person.

Wrestlemania is almost here! This week, Chris and Mat are joined by PredictionBot 3000 v2.0 to tell everyone the winners and losers of this year's Mania. And apparently, PredictionBot thinks a few murders will happen. Are we right or wrong? We won't know until the weekend of April 2 for Mania's two-day event.

We've waited a long time for this, but finally, WWE 2K22 is out in the world. To celebrate, we welcome Lynell Jinks And Christina Diem Pham from Visual Concepts to talk about making the game, the future of the franchise, and why, oh why, tiny child Dominic Mysterio isn't showcased. This was a really fun conversation, where we talk about the ups and downs of making a WWE game, what they wanted to accomplish with 2K22 and how we need Shockmaster DLC.
