Saturday Night’s Main Event HOT TAKES.

This was a great match, no doubt. But a great match with no story still feels disrespectful — especially with AJ Styles possibly nearing the end. AJ vs Shinsuke Nakamura deserved more than “go out there and cook.”
As for Sami Zayn, he deserves respect, but the underdog thing feels worn out now. That moment was 2–3 years ago. Also glad Trick Williams didn’t take the pin. Just calling it how I see it.

We’ve got Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY vs Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez, which could absolutely steal the show if they let it breathe.
And then there’s the Fatal 4-Way to see who fights Drew McIntyre — Randy Orton vs Trick Williams vs Damian Priest vs Sami Zayn, which feels like chaos by design. And Sami Zayn won is now #1 contender for Drew McIntyre.

This SmackDown was so-so. 3 hours really drags down the good moments.

It starts with Drew McIntyre.
Not flashy. Not fake. Just real emotion, real anger, and a champ that actually feels necessary.

And it’s not just Drew. Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu feel fresh for the same reason — there’s real animosity there. They don’t just want to win, they want to hurt each other, and WWE desperately needs more of that.

Wrestling works best when stories matter. When people hate each other. When it’s not just match after match after match with no meaning attached. SmackDown doesn’t need more flips. It needs more hate, more grudges, and more consequences.

This is a SmackDown review and hot take on why Drew’s run works, why Cody vs Jacob feels different, and why WWE storytelling has to get mean again.

Monday Night Raw HOT TAKES! Now that I see SmackDown doing so good, it's like, why can't they bring some of that writing and creativity over here? Finn Balor fought CM Punk, but there was no way Finn Balor was going to win, so I was not really invested in it, to be honest. Though it was a good match. Guter and it challenged AJ Styles to a retirement match at Royal Rumble, which is scary because while I know AJ is gonna retire this year, I kind of wanted a good year out of it. And now I'm afraid they're gonna retire him at the rumble. And then the vision, just their downward spiral is crazy. They look so weak, it's insane. A lot of other things happened from Natalia or Natty turning on Maxine Dupree and Becky Lynch retaining her title to just some story beats moving here and there and Javon Evans unfortunately was injured. So this was a this was a mixed bag on Raw this week. This is the description.

Royal Rumble season always messes with my brain, so I went full chaos mode and tried guessing the WILDEST surprise entrances WWE could realistically pull off in 2026. I’m talking everything from Powerhouse Hobbs showing up like a freight train, to John Cena doing one last “wait… what?” moment, to absolute insanity like The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, The Rock, Mark Henry, Sasha Banks, Britt Baker, Ethan Page, Oba Femi, Mysterio Iguana, and yeah… more names I probably shouldn’t even be saying out loud.

Some of these feel way too big. Some feel quietly possible. Some feel like WWE would only do them just to watch the internet melt down. I’m not saying all of these happen, but if even one or two hit, this Rumble would be unhinged in the best way.

Argue with me in the comments. Tell me which one would get the biggest pop. And tell me which one I completely lost my mind on, because I already know someone’s gonna say it.

SmackDown has been cooking lately and I don’t think people are talking about it enough. It finally feels loose again. Fun. Dangerous. Like anything can happen.

And yeah, I’m starting this with it because it needs to be said… Trick Williams is must-see TV right now.
I’m not saying he is The Rock, but the energy is there. The confidence, the crowd control, the way you can’t look away when he’s on screen. You feel it immediately. That’s rare.

SmackDown as a whole just feels better. The pacing, the characters, the vibes. Even stuff that shouldn’t work… somehow works. Like Kit Wilson. He’s kind of a joke, but that’s the point. Everyone gets the joke. And once people get it, they start gravitating toward him. That’s how cult favorites are born.

Jacob Fatu has been an absolute menace (as he should be), and somehow Cody Rhodes is more interesting after losing the belt. Less pressure, more edge, more unpredictability. Sometimes losing is the best thing for a character.

And then there’s Drew McIntyre. Just unreal. Every time he’s on screen it feels important. No wasted motion, no wasted words. Dude feels like a final boss again.

This isn’t some perfectly polished breakdown. It’s just me watching SmackDown and realizing… yeah, this show is quietly getting really good again.
