Chris and Pat react to 1989's No Holds Barred a WWE Studios production.Free to view on The Roku Channel , Tubi , and YouTube Wrestle WreMarks goes back to 1989 for one of the wildest, loudest, most gloriously over-the-top wrestling movies ever made: No Holds Barred.Hulk Hogan stars as Rip — the ultimate babyface, WWF Champion, fan-loving superhero, and walking protein shake — who refuses to sell out to sleazy TV executive Tom Brell. But when Brell realizes he can’t buy Rip, he decides to break him by creating a violent ratings stunt called “Battle of the Tough Guys.”Enter Zeus — played by “Tiny” Lister — a monster fighter with a stare that could melt steel and a grudge big enough to jump from the movie screen straight into actual WWF storylines. This movie has everything: evil network executives (Ted Turner) lol , back-alley brawls, 1980s action-movie insanity, Hogan being Hogan at maximum volume, and the kind of dialogue that makes you question reality in the best possible way.And the best part? No Holds Barred didn’t just stay a movie. WWF actually brought Zeus into the real wrestling world, turning the film into a full-on Hogan feud that carried into SummerSlam 1989 and even a special pay-per-view called No Holds Barred: The Match/The Movie. The film was released June 2, 1989, starred Hogan, Kurt Fuller, Joan Severance, and Tiny Lister, and marked Hogan’s first true starring role after Rocky III.So grab your popcorn, say your prayers, take your vitamins, and get ready — because we’re diving into the movie that asked one very important question:What happens when Hulkamania meets Hollywood… and Hollywood decides to fight back? This is No Holds Barred.Links:Tubi- https://tubitv.com/movies/100008866/no-holds-barredYouTube- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9VOkwjWh90Roku Channel- https://therokuchannel.roku.com/details/93c42810ba395b8a8740b0e200e82fd3/no-holds-barredWWE- https://www.wwe.com/inside/overtheropes/wwestudios/no-holds-barred-exclusive-photos#fid-26051935#NoHoldsBarred #HulkHogan #Hulkamania #WWF #WWE #WrestleWreMarks #WrestlingPodcast #ProWrestling #WrestlingMovies #RetroWrestling #ClassicWrestling #80sWrestling #Zeus #TinyLister #RipVsZeus #WWENostalgia #WWFClassic #SummerSlam1989 #MovieReview #WatchAlong #CultClassic #WrestlingFans #MarksOfAllAges
