Fantastic preview episode the first of hopefully an annual show for the GSW fans world wide and in New Jersey.

GSW - Global Syndicate Wrestling - is a new and exciting wrestling promotion that has kickstarted their journey during the pandemic, not only demonstrating their willingness to take on difficult times but also a show of their passion for professional wrestling.

Following on from their successful first show Inception, I was fortunate enough to speak with the GSW Founder Brandon Ascari about his post-show feelings, some of the logistics behind running a wrestling promotion and many of the unique tools from the film industry that he is able to utilize and help his business grow.

Very exciting times for GSW as it becomes more well known around the world and this is absolutely the beginning of a fantastic product for years to come.

For the first time I get to sit down with Shaheen for a second time and its amazing to reflect on how things have changed since we first spoke 9 months ago. Developments in professional wrestling in this region has not only grown exponentially but also developed into something that is tangiable and strong. As we discuss opportunities which present itself, we also touch on the future and what this means for future aspiring professional wrestlers. Much of our inspiration comes through knowledge and discipline towards training and athleticism. But it really comes down to the work ethic that allows you to push to reach goals that are not only limited to the middle east, but to the whole world. Our ambitions are high but we are also focused on achieving truly what we desire.

Had a great conversation with a rising star from the UAE, named after the national falcon, with incredible athletic ability and a passion to achieve his dream in professional wrestling. We talk about early memories, starting his career and some favourite moments that have taken place so far. Along with goals for the future, it can only go onwards and upwards from here.

It was good catching with someone I trained with almost 15 years ago, and great to see how far he has come with consistency and effort. Listening to his journey of staying in hotels the night of the show so he can appear for training and gradually becoming a 10 time british heavyweight champion is not only inspiring to listeners who one day wish to become athletes but also inspiring to existing athletes looking to commit themselves to their passion. Alan opens up about his journey and some favourite moments as a wrestler and as a positive role model for fans in attendance.

It was fantastic talking to Merv, as I first met him at our local 10th planet jiu jitsu club where we train at 6am multiple times a week and getting an insight into his great MMA career and current gym. Merv has had an incredible career in MMA and more importantly a huge history of fighting, from his beginnings at age 4 to becoming a coach at age 15, Merv has developed a wealth of experience and knowledge that is respected and admired by his peers. His MMA career began in late 2000's in Northern Ireland and gone on to compete in a number of events with Cage Warriors and Clan Wars to name a few. We talk about his early days getting started, how his school Bushido MMA was born and how his journey from a countryside in Northern Ireland all the way to sunny Dubai has taken place and is still in process.
