Wrestling Academy

Wrestling Academy’s Month Of Mick kicks off with his most diabolical, twisted, hardcore persona Cactus Jack.

In our most demented episode yet, Headmaster Michael Klasek (he/him) and Homecoming King Samee (they/them) slither into the dark history of Cactus Jack at WCW, IWA, and ECW.

We also break down how Mick lost his ear, the Cane Dewey promo that changed his life forever, and Wrestling Academy makes a big announcement.

In our most interviewiest episode yet, Headmaster Michael (he/him) and Homecoming King Samee (they/them) jump into the mind of Eddie Furth and his experience as a professional wrestling referee.

Eddie let us in on how he ended up becoming a referee, his life-long love of wrestling, and what he wants to do next in the ring.

WWE’s Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have a deep connection going all the way back to their beginnings in wrestling, and as any close friendship that spans many years, they have butted heads…

In our most honorable episode yet, Headmaster Michael (he/him) and Homecoming King Samee (they/them) put their friendship on the line and go through Kevin Steen and El Generico’s feud at Ring Of Honor, that ends in a literal bloodbath.

We also cover a little bit of the origin of Ring Of Honor.

We take a stab at untangling and demystifying the ultra-violent exploding barbed wire deathmatch.

In our most explosive episode yet, Headmaster Michael (he/him) and Homecoming King Samee (they/them) remove the ring ropes and replace them with barbed wire to get deeper into exploding barbed wire deathmatches.

Atsushi Onita, founder of Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling (FMW), created exploding barbed wire deathmatches, thus providing us with the most intense, scary match stipulations in professional wrestling.

30 years after this type of match debuts, Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley clash in a ring surrounded by barbed wire and explosives.

Seth Rollins, before the freakin’ was a man possessed with seeking revenge on Triple H.

In our most conniving episode yet, Headmaster Michael (he/him) and Homecoming King Samee (they/them) go back and take a look at the last time Michael enjoyed a Seth Rollins storyline.

Will the headmaster trust Seth ever again? Did the academy succeed in bringing The Architect back into Michael’s heart?

Hangman Adam Page: Bullet Club member, former tag team partner of Kenny Omega, and super lonely guy?

In our most cowboy shit episode yet, Headmaster Michael (he/him) and Homecoming King Samee (they/them) chug a bunch of beers and cheers Hangman Adam Page’s road to becoming AEW World Champion (2019-2021).

The long-form storytelling between Hangman, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega was incredibly compelling and effective, both in-ring and in promos.

Audiences found an unlikely babyface in the anxious millennial cowboy, which begs the question: do babyfaces need to lose more than win?

Current WWE Women’s Champion Bayley debuted with the company at NXT in 2013 and was a huge part of changing professional wrestling for the better.

In our most huggable episode yet, Headmaster Michael (he/him) and Homecoming King Samee (they/them) put their hair up in side ponytails and go through Bayley’s wrestling career at NXT.

Bayley started out with awkward promos, wacky waving inflatable tube men, and hugs! So many hugs!

Are we about to see super babyface Bayley again now that she’s WWE women’s champion? Is Bayley another John Cena? Will we ever see a side ponytail in WWE again?

In our most colossally tussled episode yet, Headmaster Michael (he/him) and Homecoming King Samee (they/them) take a double decker bus tour of Wrestlemania 21 Goes Hollywood.

We take a brief detour to the flashy, star-studded beginning of Wrestlemania in 1985 before reviewing the movie parody-filled Wrestlemania of 2005.

This classic Wrestlemania featured the tag team of Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio wrestling each other, the FIRST money in the bank, Triple H and Batista, and a show-stopping match between Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels.

What was your favorite match of the 21st Wrestlemania? How many times would you go into sport mode against Shawn Michaels? Where does this rank in your list of Wrestlemanias?
