Wrestling vs. The World

Just about every year of Randy Orton's career since his main roster debut in 2002 can be looked back on with at least one highlight per year. However, I didn't find his time in 2006 to be anything spectacular for a few reasons.

I've never honestly been a fan of Sheamus during my time as a wrestling fan and one period of time truly highlighted my disdain for his booking. I'm looking back over the period where he turned babyface after Money in the Bank 2011 up until he lost the World Heavyweight Title at Hell in a Cell 2012.

A lot of people look back at 2011 as a big year for CM Punk due to his pipebomb promo and WWE Championship win at the Money in the Bank PPV event. However, we can't forget everything else that was given to CM Punk, in terms of booking, during that year outside of that small period of time.

Over the years, we saw many wrestlers achieve success on the NXT brand and fail to achieve success when brought to either Raw or Smackdown. Sadly, it seems that there's a great pattern if you were a holder of the NXT Championship.

In 1997, the WWF introduced a new championship for the male superstars to compete for, known as the European Championship. By 2002, it was retired and it's time to revisit the title's history during that 5-year span.

In the previous episode of the podcast, I talked about how the WWF Championship went all over the place in 1999. Well, it also had a bit of a repeat in 2002.

The WWF Championship went into Hot Potato Mode in 1999 and it was a headache to see. Yeah, it's time to look back at the championship during the year of 1999.

Chris Jericho closed 2001 on a high note by becoming Undisputed WWF Champion, when he defeated Stone Cold and The Rock at the Vengeance PPV to unify the WWF and World (formerly WCW) Championships. Sadly, his time in 2002 was the complete opposite in comparison.

The Undertaker has been synonymous with Wrestlemania due to his historic matches and the streak that came with it. Today, I'm going over every match that The Undertaker had on the grandest stage of them all.

A lot of fans discuss instances with a specific company that cause them to fall out of love with the world of professional wrestling. Today, I'm discussing the incident that ruined my passion for it for a few months back in 2015 and you can probably guess what that is, based on the year given.
