The last time you saw co-host Wax, he was in a remote Pakistani village, issuing an emotional challenge to co-host Fash, for the World Podcasting Federation Championship! But before Wax packed his bags and departed on a journey to find himself on the other side of the globe, he and Fash ironically discussed the big (literally very big!) WWF debuts and departures in late 1992!
This is always a fun topic and on this edition you'll be transported back to the debuts and backstories of #WWE superstars such as Yokozuna, Bam Bam Bigelow, The Headshrinkers, Doink the Clown and Bob Backlund! There were also a few other debuts that you might not even remember but that's why we're here! And that wasn't all as Shawn Michaels also saw his past reflected in a mirror....Someone had returned for revenge!
Moving on to the leavers, The Ultimate Warrior & British Bulldog weren't the only superstars to drop from the WWF roster between Summerslam 1992 and Survivor Series 1992... Two other former champions ended their runs too!

As the #WWE geared up for Survivor Series 1992, The Ultimate Warrior was set to main event the show teaming up with the Macho Man Randy Savage to take on Ric Flair and Razor Ramon. At the same time, The British Bulldog was the reigning Intercontinental champion and scheduled to defend his title against The Mountie....But the #wwe was put into disarray as both men were fired on November 9 1992, just 16 days before the big event!!! However their last TV appearances would actually occur on 14 November...how is this possible??? All will be revealed!
Wax and Fash are back with a bang and give you a full lowdown of why both of these huge, key stars were let go (Vince McMahon was feeling the heat!) and take you through their final days with the company.

"The boys need their candies!...."
The early 1990s brought many storms to the WWF/E and things really escalated in 1992. In the first part of our spotlight on the scandals which engulfed the #wwe in 1992 we look at the Steriod scandal. Wax has been promising this for a while and we are finally here as part of our late 1992 timeline!
In this episode, Wax and Fash provide the backstory of the historic steroid controversy and how the trial of a certain Dr George Zahorian would rock the foundations of #wwe and bring mainstream attention on Vince McMahon and his roster, including of course his biggest star Hulk Hogan (damn that Arsenio Hall interview is still cringeworthy!)
In late 1991/early 1992, only hardcore wrestling fans knew about what was going on but soon enough the media coverage would explode and by the autumn of 1992 the impact of this situation would be very visible on screen too, as mainstay wrestlers of the 1980s and early 90s vanished from the roster. A very different #wwe was emerging and this was just the beginning of Vince McMahon's steroids related struggles!
Before going back into their time machine to transport you to 30 years ago, the guys also look at the current state of #wwe and the recent round of releases!

In our last episode we covered the surprise #wwftitle change which took place a few days after Summerslam 1992 as Ric Flair defeated the Macho Man Randy Savage to become a two time #wwe champion. But slick Ric couldn't keep the belt warm for long!
On 12 October 1992 history was made as Bret Hart won his first #wwetitle by defeating Ric Flair in a non-televised match in Saskatoon, Canada!
This unpredictable and unbelievable moment sent shockwaves through the wrestling industry and the wrestling fan community as no one saw it coming!
There is so much to cover that we had to make this a long form episode (check out the timestamps if you want to go to a specific topic but it's all great!).
We cover:
- Why the title was taken away so abruptly from Ric Flair and why was this match not shown on tv?
- A short history of the Hart family and Bret's early years.
