It's time to put a spell on you and return to our 1992 WWE timeline in a big supernatural way!  On this episode, Wax and Fash will take you back to when Papa Shango put a curse, yes a curse, on the Ultimate Warrior!!!  

Many see it as the most absurd, wrestlecrap in history, while others absolutely love how unique and crazy this storyline was. We certainly lapped it up back in the day as little kids!   

As ever there are lots of stories within stories. The original plan after Wrestlemania was a huge feud between the Ultimate Warrior and Sid Justice, but things changed drastically. We provide the backstage details behind Sid leaving and the WWF inserting the mysterious, Voodoo master in his place. Every part of the Warrior-Shango feud is detailed and relived in its amazing, hokey glory and we debate what could have been with the Papa Shango character under different circumstances. Did you know, the character nearly returned twice in the 90s? All shall be revealed!

It's time to round off our special 25th anniversary shows with the biggest heel turn in wrestling history!   Hulk Hogan turning on WCW and the fans shocked everyone in July of 1996!  

The historic moment also revitalised Hogan's career, gave WCW a boost that no one could have imagined and reignited the whole wrestling business.   

Wax and Fash take you back to this amazing period, starting off with the final Nitro before Bash at the Beach all the way through to the big turn at the pay per view.  They also look at speculation around the 'third man' at the time and rip into Dave Meltzer for some of his absurd theories!

After showing up on the 26 May 1996 WCW Nitro and declaring war on WCW, Scott Hall promised that a "BIG" surprise would be joining him. On June 10 1996 the surprise was delivered as Kevin Nash debuted as the second Outsider and took things to the next level!   

Wax and Fash continue their special look on these historic New World Order anniversaries by breaking down this huge, game-changing debut and discussing the chaos that the Outsiders caused in the weeks after this moment. Having taken the podcast universe through the build up to the big show, the guys review the first Wrestlemania they saw in 'real time' back in 1992 - Wrestlemania VIII!  

Fash and Wax discuss the beginning of Shawn Michaels journey to becoming Mr Wrestlemania, The Undertaker going 2-0, an unexpected tag team return, a horrible eight man tag and two classic title matches - Roddy Piper vs Bret Hart for the IC championship and the first of a double main event with Ric Flair defending the WWE title vs The Macho Man Randy Savage!!!   

There is even some chat on memories of VHS cassettes! Those who know, know 😂

We discuss how the card fell down in quality after the Macho Man vs Ric Flair match, though Wax still tries to find some positives!   

This leads us to chat about the second main event: the much anticipated clash between Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice! This was hyped as Hulk Hogan's last match at the time (they got us good!) and is considered to be one of the worst main events in Wrestlemania history... 

But it also saw the extremely memorable return of the Ultimate Waaaarrriorrrrrrr! Now that was worth it!

On 26 May 1996 Scott Hall, fresh from being Razor Ramon on WWE television, invaded WCW Nitro to issue a challenge from the 'outside'. Things would never be the same again as a new wrestling boom began. The New World Order was around the corner and the Monday night war had truly been ignited.  

Wax and Fash sat down on 26 May 2021 to mark the anniversary. The guys provide the background to this epic night, break down Scott Hall's historic first appearance and share their vivid memories from the that night. There's denim jackets, tooth picks and lots of banter on this special episode!

Ahead of Wrestlemania VIII, The Undertaker shocked the world by turning on Jake the Snake Roberts and becoming a huge babyface.   

Wax and Fash share memories of this historic development and also banter on lots of other fun stuff like, Shawn Michaels introducing a new valet, Bret Hart returning and the Legion of Doom losing the tag titles in a strange way!  And there are some big early 92 debuts to discuss too: Papa Shango, Tatanka and Nailz!
