Wrestling With My Girl

Today we're talking about NXT's first Take Over of 2020 from Portland, OR. Was it a show that had great matches or did it suffer from being too extra? Listen to find out. Also-if you have any topics a young married couple can banter about-hit us up.

Today we're talking about New Japan's New Beginning in Osaka. It was a great show overall and had one helluva junior title match between Hiromu and Dragon Lee. Other topics include: getting philosophically dark, dog park musings, and choosing between Miho and Pieter.

Happy late birthday, CJ. Today we're be-boppin' across NJPW and WWE as we talk about the shows in Sapporo, Korakuen as well as NXT US/UK to catch up on all the last week's action.

Also a little shout out to a few wrestlers sharing CJ's birthday week: call him CAGE, the white witch Isla Dawn, and the caramel voiced Damian Priest. CJ embodies all of these with his hefty upper body strength, his milky complexion and affinity for shooting arrows :)

Today we're talking about WWE's number two show, the big one that kicks off the new year and road to WrestleMania, Royal Rumble. For that part we use a "royal rumble" and "royal fumble" format (hello XFL).

On the first part of the show we discuss Worlds Collide following a more match by match format.

The overseas NXT brand delivered a pretty good show this past weekend with Jordan Devlin & Tyler Bate stealing the show and more than worthy of your time. High points also include Sara's impression of Eddie Dennis and CJ's ability to not lose his cool during said impression.

Also-one of us really hated the ladder match...stay to the end to hear our thoughts on the main event (or not, we didn't watch it).

Today we're discussing NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 14 show as well as New Year's Dash. It was a lot of wrestling to kick off the new year but most of it was good and some of it was outstanding.

After 161 episodes we finally had our first recording issue so this will be a shorty. We lost our WrestleKingdom 14 predictions and discussion but we'll reference them next week. Basically we're jazzed for Hiromu/Ospreay and the junk food we'll consume...also Naito will be there.

It's a night of equally rated tag matches as we go through installment number four of our NXT TakeOver Tag Team Throwback series. Did any of them best Hideo/Finn yet?

Today we're discussing WWE's final network "special" of 2019, TLC. We went with a theme of tepid, liked, or crap for this one and there were plenty of the first and last categories!

For episode 160 we have the next installation of NXT TakeOver tag team throwback as well as look at three of Samoa Joe's best and most well known matches.

On this episode we're talking about WWE's glut of wrestling from Chicago this past weekend. We go match by match for War Games and then use a "survivors" and "casualties" theme for Survivor Series 2019. Go Keith Lee!
