I am so thrilled to introduce our next guest, Ed Marinaro. He is our first Hollywood actor to come on widpod. He played Officer Joey Coffey on "Hill Street Blues", portrayed Coach Marty Daniels in the hit comedy series "Blue Mountain State", and also featured in the Soprano's sequel movie "The Many Saints of Newark" which released in 2021. Ed Marinaro is a former NFL Player and had two Superbowl Appearances (VIII and IX). He played for the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, and Seattle Seahawks. In 1991, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame! Ed was such an amazing storyteller by reminiscing on his incredible acting career. I am excited and honored to release this episode! Happy New Year! We are kicking off 2022 with an amazing guest and some firsts for @widpod! Local tattoo artist, Cash Combs, hops on the mic not only to share his journey, but he was also the first guest to ever freestyle on the mic. That's right, I drop the beat and Cash spits fire. We had a blast recounting Cash's incredible creative path, and how he overcame much to be where he is now. He went to four different elementary schools, experienced loss, and grew in humility along the way. Cash brings an energy to the show that simply cannot be matched! I hope when you listen to this episode you are encouraged to pursue your passions and grow past adversity. You know what to do, sit back, relax, and get your pens ready!

Episode 060! I cannot believe we made it to the end of 2021 and to WIDPOD's 60th Episode! Today's show is a bit of a recap of every episode released this past year. Our audio engineer, Marshal Manjarres, hops on the mic to discuss some of Write it Down's episodes and production. We then segway into a deeper conversation about Marshall's life experiences with drugs, festivals, and open relationships. We discuss how some things in life disguise themselves as love, but they end up leaving you to feel empty. Marshall is raw and honest on the mic, and he challenges us to accept true love. One of my favorite parts of this episode is towards the end when he drops his WID. However, you'll have to listen to the whole episode to get all of his wisdom! You know what to do, sit back, relax, and get your pens ready!!

On today's episode, I host the show solo! That's right, no guest! This episode challenged me professionally in learning how to monologue, and it also allowed me to share a lot of personal things I went through this past year. The overall theme of this episode is keeping up the endurance and faith when life seems monotonous. We all have been through a lot of mental challenges, health scares, loss of loved ones, and political unrest. These obstacles reveal who we really are and expose some of our brokenness. The hope we have is much greater than the long race of life! Keep persevering and trusting the process. And also listen to this episode for tons of encouragement! Sit back, relax, and get your pens ready!

Today's show is a bit different than normal! Tim Maratta takes over as host and sits across lifetime and high school friend Rob Talton. Rob shares with us his journey beating Cancer and how he battled a rare disease of the central nervous system, Neurosarcoidosis. Talton was privileged to encounter Johns Hopkins' Dr. Howard Philip Levy, M.D., Ph.D. on his health journey. Dr. Levy has worked alongside many notable doctors including Dr. Ben Carson. Levy was pivotal in Rob's recovery by putting hope at the forefront of his mindset. Doc wouldn't allow Talton to focus on survival percentages or any other news that would lend towards negative overthinking. Rob is not only in remission, but he is determined to make the latter half of his life more meaningful. He encourages us to be more grateful and present by not just living, but by being alive! Rob is a member of the Talton Brothers Band and writes music based on his personal experiences. Talton was blessed with the opportunity to play music at the popular music studio, Muscle Shoals, where icons including Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, and the Rolling Stones produced music. There were many dark days in Rob's healing process, but he overcame to tell many exceptional stories. We get a glimpse of those stories right here on Write it Down!
