  • Author Thomas M. Hewlett on Write Now Radio!
2pm ET / 1pm CT / 12pm MT / 11am PT (Outside US: Dial 00 + 1 + 714-464-4891) Viki Winterton interviews Thomas M. Hewlett!  Thomas grew up in Los Angeles and was raised on a steady diet of science fiction, fantasy, and all things mythic or paranormal. While he knew he wanted to be a writer at the age of twelve, after college he strayed from the path and into drugs and alcohol addiction. Hewlett had his first drink when he was seventeen and blacked out shortly after finishing it.  He woke up thirteen years later, with little to show for his life besides a notebook full of unwritten books. Finally in 2011, he hit rock bottom and ended in up in a rehab facility. It was there, at his lowest point, that he rediscovered the power of writing and found the idea for his first novel, One Death at a Time, when a good friend suggested he write a story about “vampires in AA.” With the encouragement and support of his loving wife, he decided to combine his experiences of addiction/recovery with his love of modern fantasy and noir mystery. Writing the “Twelve Stakes” series saved Thomas’s life and became his way of telling a new story about himself. It’s his hope that other lost souls will find through his work a community of readers and the inspiration to re-imagine their lives. His #1 International Bestseller, One Death at a Time ~ Twelve Stakes: Book 1 is a tale of Jack Strayhorn, a corrupt cop who was killed and turned vampire in 1948, now “living” to right wrongs as penance for crimes he committed when he was alive. In 2010, Jack is now residing in his old stomping grounds, Los Angeles. He is a private investigator who has one simple mission: Catch the bad guys and try not to kill any innocent people along the way.

  • Author Kent Heckenlively on Write Now Radio!
2pm ET / 1pm CT / 12pm MT / 11am PT (Outside US: Dial 00 + 1 + 714-464-4891) Viki Winterton interviews Kent Heckenlively!  Kent Heckenlively is a science teacher, attorney, and founding contributing editor of Age of Autism. The father of a daughter stricken with autism after her childhood vaccinations, Heckenlively has applied his exacting skills to explore the connect between childhood vaccines and autism in two books—the just-released Inoculated: How Science Lost Its Soul in Autism and PLAGUE: One Scientist’s Intrepid Search for the Truth About Human Retroviruses, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Autism, and Other Diseases. PLAGUE was co-authored with Dr. Judy Mikovits, a 20-year government scientist and former head of the Lab of Anti-Viral Drug Mechanisms at the National Cancer Institute. The book quickly became one of the best-selling virus books of the last 30 years and has garnered extensive praise from the patient community and leading physicians. Inoculated initially reads like a mystery thriller, a lone whistleblower, akin to All the President’s Men’s Deep Throat, spills the government’s secrets. But like the film Contagion, what’s at risk is the health of millions! From that compelling beginning, Heckenlively goes on to chronicle in detail how the Centers for Disease Control deliberately chose to inaccurately report test results that showed a distinct correlation between the vaccine and increased autism statistics and a lack of courage by those who could have spoken up in the early 2000s when indicators began to surface, but instead stayed silent or deliberately perverted the truth—choices that have resulted in an entire generation of autism disabled children—and a fast-rising tide of more.
