“From Diplomat to Novelist!”

Maureen Lomo aka M. L. Wonder has visited over twenty countries and has lived and worked in four countries on three different continents. Her former career as a diplomat presented her unique experiences such as meeting two former presidents and first ladies at events surrounding Nelson Mandela’s memorial service. M.L.’s nearly ten years of federal service fulfilled her, and she credits her time overseas for illuminating her soul’s purpose and helping uncover her talent, creative writing.

M.L. now adventures into the world of creative service by writing ‘heart-provoking’ literature - entertaining and engaging stories with impact. Her love of creativity shines through as she brings her spirit of freedom, discovery and transformation to her debut novel, Tenth Year in the Sun, a fascinating journey which reveals provocative insights along the way.

The inspiration for Tenth Year in the Sun, came after a vivid dream, and draws on M.L.’s own dual-cultured upbringing and international background to create a universal tale of transformative sisterhood, commitment, and inner-change while bringing to light global issues dear to her heart.

M.L. was born in Ghana and grew up in Louisiana, Georgia and Texas. She currently lives in Austin, Texas where she enjoys a great cup of coffee, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Jerald is an adjunct professor at Long Island University Brooklyn where he teaches Sport Communication and Sport Management. Jerald has had teaching stints at the Korean American Heritage Foundation where he taught English to Korean born students visiting the USA and at the renowned Eagle Academy for boys where he also taught English.

He is editor-in-chief and senior writer at Pure Sports New York. Jerald has also been a sportswriter for over 17 years and has covered the New York Knicks and New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets: for Black Athlete Sports Network, The Network Journal, Sport New York Style and BustaSports.com. Jerald is also an award winning novelist and filmmaker.

Lun Yé Hygh is the author of the children’s books Resilient and Transformation. Currently, she is an educator in the Houston, texas area where she teaches 1st grade. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Houston and a Master of Arts Degree from Texas Southern University.

The idea for her first book Resilient came from having worked in urban education. She believes your circumstances does not label who you are. The second book Transformation stems from the story Resilient. Both stories teach children about the importance of not giving up when faced with difficulty. Resilient and Transformation are both published under Hygh Quality. These books are fictional stories with pictures designed to encourage and uplift kids by providing a simple message.

Marcia Y Collins-Brown, CEO of What's in You Coaching, LLC, is the author of the book “Become Your Absolute Best” A practical resiliency guide for educators. Marcia is a speaker, coach, and educator who provides resiliency coaching and training to educators and educational institutions eager to help their staff incorporate practical resiliency strategies in their work and BOOST student academic engagement.

Marcia is an educator with Orange County school district in Apopka, Florida, where she employs practical resiliency strategies in the classroom, as well as helps students become voracious readers and writers. She serves young adults as an adjunct professor at Lake-Sumter state college, where she provides strategies on teaches students the basic principles of applying resilient principles in college and life.

Marcia has an earned Masters degree in Education with a specialization in Reading from Texas A&M Commerce University. She recently earned an Educational Specialist degree in Reading, Literacy, and Leadership from Walden University.

Sonya Johnson is the author of the new powerhouse book, Forgiven but Never Forgotten: A story of abuse, loss and New Life. She was born and raised in Gettysburg, PA. Sonya, is the owner of AIJ Healthcare Solutions LLC in Northern California. Sonya holds Certifications as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Congregational Health Nurse, CPR Trainer and Director of Staff Development. She volunteers at Wardrobe For Opportunity in Oakland, CA. There, she serves on the Women’s Empowerment Board, as a guest speaker and advisor. Sonya is also over the CARE Program/Health Ministry for a local Hospice in Northern California. She also does Health Talks to local Senior Centers and Assisted Living for the Elderly, not to mention Motivational Speaking.
Sonya has been faced with everything from molestation, domestic violence and loss of a child just to name a few all before the age of 24. Her story will leave you speechless and inspire you all at the same time.
How she was able to pull herself through all the turmoil, hurt, pain and loss in her life, is a true testimony. Her motto is “You have to go thru it to get to it.” Based on her own personally story of strength.
