Writer's Life Chats

Tony Bowers is a native Chicagoan and a graduate of Columbia College Chicago, with an MFA in Creative Writing. He also has a MAT from National Lewis University. Tony is the author of On the Nine, a collection of short stories from Vital Narrative Press. He is the 2006 recipient of the Follett Fellowship in creative writing. His work has appeared in several anthologies such as Hair Trigger, the Story Week Reader, Expressions from Englewood and The Essential Summer Reader.

 

Tony began his teaching career working as a middle school teacher of English Language Arts for Chicago Public Schools. After 4 years he transitioned to City Colleges as an Adjunct instructor of composition and developmental writing. He currently is a tenure track assistant professor at the College of DuPage.

Precious A. Jackson resides in South Los Angeles, and is the author of Revelations: Unveiling the Mask. Born during a time where social prejudices were very relevant, she relied on the values instilled in her to become an independent college graduate, who reached back to lend a helping hand within her community. Teaching others to pay it forward became her motivation, until she was taken on an emotional roller coaster ride when her doctor delivered the devastating news she tested positive for HIV.

Not giving strength to her diagnosis, Precious knew what her next mission would be; to educate both men and women equally on the importance of getting tested, and protecting themselves at all cost.

Lance Oliver Keeble is an American Author based in Los Angeles, California. At a very young age, he fell in love with Art, Music, Acting, Writing and American Football. He participated in all of those activities throughout his young life. After a brief stint at CSULB, he became a firefighter to support his burgeoning family. He has performed in many bands, acted in various plays, low budget commercials and continuously practiced his prose by writing lyrics, poetry, and short stories.

He is a fan of Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Action, Thriller, Comic books, Graphic Novels and other various forms of fiction. His diversity shows in his work. He has easily been able to be prolific at poetry, short-story writings, children themes, comic book scripting as well as novels. He has published poetry in anthologies and a superhero comic strip in several magazines. He has a graphic novel in development. His interests have led to his current novel Globes Disease.

Lance Oliver Keeble was born raised and continues to live in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter. Lance is a Father of 7 children and a Grandfather of 4. Lance Oliver Keeble aspires to never grow up and to write for the rest of his life.
