We are not makers of history, we are made by history.

In time, wounds of the body and of the heart can heal. We go forward, even when we don’t know which direction we’re heading,

Friends are the family that we choose.

Mean while when our family is together, color is not our focus, Me and mine and millions of other mixed race families are going to keep on loving.

Everybody has a story, It maybe happy, sad, uplifting, tragic, but everybody has a story, because we’re all on the journey of life.

I say the world would be a boring place if we all had the same abilities.

God made everything out of nothing, but the nothingness shows through..

So many times in life we go through things and we don’t realize that our children are going through them too. We think that they are in their own world, you know, and that they won’t notice these things. But they do and I think it’s just great that you’re pointing these things out.

A poem should not mean but be.

You have to love dancing to stick to it. It gives you nothing back. No manuscripts to store away. No paintings to show on walls. No poems to be printed, Nothing but that single fleeting moment when you feel alive.
