February 03, 2021What Does SMH Mean?Every month, 250,000 people open Google and ask; “What Does SMH Mean”? Three million people per year are struggling with this modern abbreviation. Therefore, Jack decided to take deep-dive into acronyms, contractions, and initialisms in this new podcast. Etymology is the study of the history of words and is something Jack enjoys. However, he is no expert and like millions of people each year, he can struggle with: HMU, TTYL, ROFL… Basically, the abbreviations used on most social media.Abbreviations are obviously not new! They can be found in ancient Greek inscriptions and medieval manuscripts. A large amount of the information in longer communications, such as emails, is unnecessary. In other words, knowing abbreviations and acronyms is pretty useful. Jack is here to guide you from the “DABs” for “Digital Audio Broadcasting”, through the “DNs” for “Dominus Noster” and back to “DFTBA” for “Don’t Forget To Be Awesome”.Member of quitethethingmedia.com Twitter: twitter.com/whatdoesSMHmean...more12minPlay
