Drew Goodline of Coloma High School Basketball is the WSJM Sports Berrien County Student Athlete of the Week for the week of February 21, 2021.

In the Comets’ win over Saugatuck, Drew finished with 26 points, ten rebounds, and seven assists. In a win over Watervliet, he scored 30 points to go along with five rebounds and four assists. He wrapped up the week with 27 points, four rebounds, and three assists against Benton Harbor.

Drew is also a member of the Coloma Football team and National Honor Society. In the classroom, he carries a 3.9 grade point average.

Drew is the son of Wendy and Chad Goodline.

Other finalists for the week were Jayce Warren of Bridgman Basketball, Symone King of St. Joe Basketball, and Keane Yanez of Eau Claire Wrestling.

Henry Weller of Dowagiac High School Basketball is our WSJM Sports Van Buren/Cass Student Athlete of the Week for the week of February 21, 2021.

Henry finished with 12 points, four assists, four steal, and four rebounds in the Chieftains’ game against Plainwell. Then against Edwardsburg, he scored 18 points to go along with three assists, three steals, and two rebounds.

Henry is also a member of the Dowagiac Soccer and Baseball teams.

Henry is the son of Marc and Lori Weller of Dowagiac.

Samantha Dietz of Watervliet High School Basketball is the WSJM Sports Berrien County Student Athlete of the Week for the week of February 14, 2021.

Samantha turned in 19 points, 20 rebounds, three steals, and three assists in the Panthers’ win over Martin. She then finished with 18 points, 18 rebounds, three steals, and one assist in a win over Lawton. She ended the week with 16 points, 15 rebounds, two steals, and one assist in a win over Benton Harbor.

Samantha is also a member of the Watervliet Volleyball and Softball teams, and Student Council. In the classroom, she carries a 4.0 grade point average.

Samantha is the daughter of Ken and Brandi Dietz of South Haven.

Other finalists for the week were Hunter Heath of Brandywine Wrestling and Drew Goodline of Coloma Basketball.
